I know it's quite irrational, but...
I have a special place in my personal hell for fursuits.
I have nothing in particular against furries, but, dang. It's a bit too far for me.

Well this year is starting off fucked. Nothing directly towards me and my family, but indirectly since it happened to a friend and co-worker of my cousin.

Well... I would say that it's one mediocre OC (Nyx) and one non-character. Because Snowdrop is not a character.

It looks like someone is really digging mecha girls.RoboRed wrote:

You know speaking of which anybody ever think how weird it is that that the internet has introduced massive amounts of people to things that were previously considered weird? What I mean by that is taking for example mecha girls and how a page back I was talking about "daily life with a monster girl". Ten years ago the response by the internet of mecha and monsters was stuff like transformers or creepy pastas. Now the response by the internet is, "Hmm I wonder what it would look like if we turned turned the characters into humans and gave them boobs". There's even a technical term for this called, "moe anthropomorphism" or what could be called humanized or personification.
People humanized mlp, humanize mythological monsters and call them "monster girls", humanize military machinery and call it "mecha musume", humanize pokemon, there's even personifying even operating systems and call it "os-tan".
I'm not dissing it, in fact I like a lot of it.

I'm as much of a deviant pervert as the next guy (probably more of one) but there's a point where turning things into Japanese schoolgirls just gets retarded. I think much of the Internet is just unaware of things that don't involve naked anime chicks.

Don't worry Frost, it will eventually get to the point where turning Japanese school girls into Japanese school girls will become the next big thing, the universe will implode in on itself, and we start all over.

Dark Reflections is probably one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. I mean, there's the shredding, and growling vocals of death metal and other extreme genres, but so far this has the most atmospheric effect that I've heard in metal.

Although sarcastically said, this is a pretty fair assessment. There will come a point at which "moe anthropomorphism" becomes mainstream and then the internet will move onto the next thing.Moodyman90 wrote:Don't worry Frost, it will eventually get to the point where turning Japanese school girls into Japanese school girls will become the next big thing, the universe will implode in on itself, and we start all over.
What tends to happen with internet fads or fads in general is that whatever it is follows a bell curve. When it reaches mainstream people stop caring about it as a whole. Take pop for example, even though it isn't a fad, when pop music first came about there was a massive backlash and a massive following for it. Now it's just a part of society that few people really care enough about and only die hard music fans really argue about it. . well with the exception of shitty "singers" like bieber and such, they're something society can all unite under one flag and hate together.
That's neither here nor there though, what I mean by this is that five to ten years from now when it's worn out the internet will just find something new.
Tl:dr; Fads in a nutshell-

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
So for fun I did one of those MBTI online tests. My result came as follow:
Personality type: ISTJ
Thing is, if I can recognize myself to some extent there, I don't recognize myself fully: I define myself as being pretty much the exact opposite of a traditionalist, it's just that when something works I don't see why I should expend energy to change my ways if I don't see a clear benefit to doing so. You know, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I like following procedures, but I'm not particularly attached to them, simply to the idea of there being a procedure.
I also don't -enjoy- being in a position of authority. It's just that it seems that sometimes I'm, like, the only one who has any clue as to what needs to be done, especially when said course of action require a number of different people to co-operate together; and I end up having to ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL. And, frankly, I'm the first one to dislike having to do that.
Anyway, this just to say: Today I ate a veal's heart.
And as usual it's fucking delicious.
Personality type: ISTJ
- Scores:
- Introverted/Extraverted => Introverted 5 (of 10)
Sensing/INtuition => Intuition 1 (of 10)
Thinking/Feeling => Thinking 6 (of 10)
Judging/Perception => Judging 1 (of 10)

I don't think a veal is an animal. =P You're kinda mixing metaphors, in a sense: we disguise the origins of our food by calling it different names and suchlike (as well as distancing the final product's image from how it looked when it was alive). Thus, referring to the heart, or other organs, creates some degree of dissonance (think that's the appropriate word here). It's like saying that the most important part of haggis is adding a haggis' lungs. Haggis don't have lungs, sheep do.
Good god I am becoming a lit studies major...
EDIT: I also took one of those tests, but that was for a game of World of Darkness. We were making characters and stuff. Obviously it's pop science at best (our psych major player made sure we knew this) but it's a fun little exercise.

Yeah, I know these sort of tests aren't really trustworthy, I just like knowing what these kind of things have to say about me without having ever met me.
BY the way, do you remember what was your result back then? By pure curiosity... [/is certainly not meaning to update people's files with this latest bit of information]

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
I just took the test as well, as I was rather curious as to what it'd say.
I can't say I agree with the test's definition of "Intuition" as opposed to "Sensing". Being able to analyze situations and recognize the principles and theories behind them rather than trusting and acting on the limited information you can sense in the present is just about the direct opposite of the conventional definition of intuition, which is defined by a reliance on "gut feelings" and being rooted in the moment.
- INTJ:
- Introvert(44%) iNtuitive(38%) Thinking(75%) Judging(78%)
You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)
You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (75%)
You have strong preference of Judging over Perceiving (78%)
