Same here with Pinkie. Another point involving Frost: his points about Fluttershy are completely valid (plot armor etc.), though I don't see why that would stop her from winning the cutest pony award.

What more do you need to know? The angle of the lamp post to the ground is 90 degrees of course

Well, just think through in my head, you'd need a specific moment in time to take the derivative at, since it isn't constant.  This would be supplied probably by another side length.
In any case, the equation for the derivative of a triangle side is:
2b(db/dt)=2c(dc/dt) or 2a(da/dt)=-2b(db/dt)
With b being interchangeable with a in the first one.

Couldn't you just pick a random time though? because the man's walking at a constant rate of 3 ft/s would it matter what time you choose? and yes you could use x as the ground which the man is walking on as a side...

I always enjoy going back and watching Spoony's Counter Monkey series. The Jedi Hunter always gets a laugh from me when he describes how he made a non-Force user in a Star Wars campaign full of Jedi and Sith lords back in the mid 90s.

You know what annoys me?  The people that ignore basic math in arguments.
No a fraction that is smaller is not larger.
No you can't multiply that fraction by itself to make a larger number, that just makes it smaller.
No you can't multiply a fraction by a number you pulled out of your ass to make a statistic larger.
No you can't ignore a entire study except for what agrees with your opinion that's called cherry picking.
No you can't declare a study invalid completely if it's peer reviewed on the sole basis of "it's wrong cause I say it's wrong".

Some people need to retake algebra or something. There is just no point in arguing against someone that argues against basic math then demands you show them a peer reviewed study to prove that they're wrong stating that they're automatically right then they turn around again and try to dismiss the study claiming it's biased.
