Nah, Day Z is a realistic zombie survival game.  The the types of zombies in it are fast dumb zombies that aren't that much of a threat in small numbers.  The thing that pisses people off is that when they say realistic they mean most of the good items are in towns and that's where the zombies are, and that the zombies have the ability to shove your skull into the wall instantly killing you.  That one really makes gamers mad, but if you were being attacked by a zombie and they slammed you into a brick wall you're not going to be a happy camper.

The biggest problems with the game right now is that the zombies spawn in proximity to players so more expert players will look at them and immediately know what area you're at, the other problem is the system to mark bandits is flawed cause even if you kill people in self defense it's still going to count.  They're making a standalone game and they're most of the way done with it, but the core architect still needs a couple months.  Everything in the game is pretty much done, it's that the core architect still isn't done and throwing programmers at that doesn't make it get done any faster.

Dayz is good if you want super realistic zombie survival.  If you don't like super realistic zombie survival then it's going to make you all kinds of mad.  Also a headshot will kill you and you get broken bones and such.  It doesn't matter if you're carrying around l33t equipment if a sniper headshots you you're done son.

@EP: On a side note on the "sexism part", I facepalmed really hard the other today. Some US company had severely sexist angling on their clothing, and a Swe company saw this, and went "well fuck you!" and published their own version of the garments, but with males in the magazine as scandaly clad and in suggestive poses. With actually normal looking females... and they got sued for sexism... while the ones that made the original didn't...

Okay hold the phone.  WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU EVEN GETTING THIS FROM?!  Calm down a bit.  Think about what you said.  Try to logically break it down your points into their basic logic.  Control your sense of being offended and now ask yourself, did what you just state actually make logical sense?

The problem with announcing "I'm offended" is that it's outright stating to the world that you're not thinking rationally and letting emotion supercede logic.
