RE "M50 Ontos" : Only problem is that it's "recoiless rifles" and not "actually" guns. So Wargaming would probably say no.

But if hypothetically it had a chance to feature in... make it act like an autoloader gun with a long clip reload time (~15-25 seconds) and relatively large spread for balance's sake (0.3-0.4m/100m ?) if you have to (the fact there's multiple barrels would seem like the perfect excuse for a large spread). Get close, unload your burst, get out while reloading the clip, and if you're being pursued, take advantage of the rotating turret to unload a new burst on the pursuers if possible.

Plus... I'm ready to bet that thing has a monstrous depression/elevation... Hull Down master race ?


Depending on its penetration and spread, I think it'd be a tier 6-8 tank destroyer.

NEW PLAN:

So, thanks to the proposed rework to the German tech tree according to the 8.8 test server, the PzIII/IV will no longer branch to both medium lines. If I want to get to the E-50 line, I will have to start all the way back at the upcoming tier 4 heavy, which is a piece of crap.

I am now going to re-buy my 3/4 and furiously grind my way over to the VK30.01H before the patch comes out.

 - Tiger 2 cupola increased from 80mm to 150mm and made much bouncier, no longer a weak point

 - Tiger H mantlet made much thicker

 - VK3601 H mantlet made much thicker

 - Japanese are most likely coming in 2013

Oh ho ho. Chieftain, not a mention of a prototype too! Other Tier 10 is almost assuredly the Vickers MBT, JagdChieftain or FV4005 Stage 2.

- FV4202 fate (after bovinton-measurements): the tank is alot worse than initially expected. The facts about the turret are correct (more armor + smaller hatch) but the rest is really a lot worse.
Challenger stated, it would fit as ~T8 medium in its historical characteristics. Replacement or final decision is to be announced.

But that's probably going to make 30 minutes battles depending on the maps and how it's played (if there remains only five vehicles on each teams and the map is 5x5 kilometers large...)

Though maps so big would force reconsidering how radio works, for scout + arty to be effective. Or at least a rebalance of the concept.

They would have to rework the ingame chat system with such battles : with teams almost 8 times larger, the chatter could quickly become unbearable, especially if people continue with these annoying "clicking ten times the same point on the map to show I'm a douchebag" habits.

Also, having access to the chat history during the game would be necessary - I already feel the need today at some points...

I just killed a KV-1 by myself with the 75mm SA44 of the BDR. Through the front plate.  

It's easier to "aim for the weak spot" when you have actual visibility and the lone KV is overwhelmed by a rush of five tanks.

You're also going to like the next tank after the G1.
The ARL 44 has much better armor (inclined 120mm glacis) but still a +2 tiers gun (with basically same stats as a 8.8cm L/71). One of my favorites.

And the starter turret allows to mount G1's 90mm gun immediately. Although it looks... um... well, it's actually a Char F1 turret and I don't know what's it doing on this tank.
