Well, first you have to use a good coffee (duh) ; then you have to learn that coffee often taste better (or at least less bitter) when you put only a 3/4th dose instead of a full dose.

Then there's different solutions. In our house we use an Italian coffee pot. At work we used a bar-grade espresso machine (though it produced an awful coffee as it was intensively used and almost never maintained).

Black coffee is the way to go, I usually make mine pretty strong. I never get perked up by energy drinks like the way I do by coffee.

I don't really drink coffee. I have no real problems with having enough energy, so all it does is taste bitter

I drink coffee black when I make it, and generally I enjoy the taste and effects of coffee.
But when I buy coffee, I always get it with chocolate.

When I worked, it was often a mug of black coffee at 10 AM and another mug in the afternoon. Sometimes more.

In my house, we usually go through 2-3 thermoses a day of coffee. However we slow down to just 1 or 1 1/2 when we notice how much caffeine we drink.

I currently have to stop myself from verbally abusing anyone who have the kind of rhetoric displayed in the above strip...

In relative term, we spend nothing on space exploration (Europe spend the equivalent of a cinema ticket per inhabitants per year on the subject, NASA's budget is a bucket of water next to the olympic pool of the US Armed Forces budget, etc...), and the benefits it has brought us can be seen everywhere in our fucking day to day lives (the goddamn microprocessors we are using right now to communicate, among other things). Space exploration -IS- a way to solve our problems.

Also, it is part of being human that we will ALWAYS have problems, with each passing generations, whatever they may be. Saying we have to solve everything first is akin to saying that we will never do it.

Yup.
See, on the way back from the moon there was a singularity that actually made the lander zap back in time, and it crashed in russia which caused the tunguska event. The russians recovered the technology from the crash and the crew.
The americans bargained to return the crew who claimed they were from america, and the russians agreed because they couldn't tell what the technology was anyways. Scientists took over in trying to copy the technology and in the process tried to find a way to get the crew back to their own time in order to prevent a collapse of the universe due to the hole they ripped in space-time when they travelled back in time. They managed to do it just in time, and the crew ended up returning a few days before the launch. They were then stuck in a permanent time loop, but to prevent suspicion they would air-drop a false lander and crew into the ocean to be recovered.

nah theres just fixed points in time, things that must happen no matter what, then there are the rest of events which form around those fixed points like when you nail parts of a worm to a piece of cardboard, the worm wiggles, but the parts nailed down do not.
