I dunno, I find the interactions between Novae and Quiver already a little sickening.

I don't quite remember just how it compares, though.

At least we haven't and didn't reach Big Mac and Cheerilee levels of disgustingly sickly sweet loveydoveyness.

In all honesty I'm kinda glad Clock and Charcoal broke it off, for a couple of different reasons. For one, this is fallout equestria and relationships very rarely survive it. For two, the aforementioned loveydoveyness was getting really tiring. For three, the breakup was actually really interesting and provided a great opportunity for character development.

That level is easily up to eleven, it was not nearly that bad.

I'd agree with the character development aspects that resulted, and I'd say that haste was a key player in killing it.
Maybe I've still got Romeo and Juliet in my head and looking at that like we were told to in school, though.

Regarding breakups in the setting, Quiver and Novae don't have much that could wedge them, but I can think of a few scenarios in which that would happen. Almost all of them require specific circumstances that Camo would have to set up.

Statistically speaking I'm not sure if that's true. I only remember one relationship not making it in the original story and that was the Homage X Jokeblue, but that was largely due to the fact Jokeblue died. And the cheeseguy and whoever had kids with him.

There may be more but I can't remember any off the top of my head and none that were between the main characters. You could argue Velvet and Pip but they were never together to begin with.
