Today i undertook a mission, one which was of great importance and could only be performed during the twilight hours. Girding myself for that task ahead, I donned shorts and flipflops, I sacrificed my shirt opting instead for manliness points. The front lawn was beginning to overtake the public walk areas and needed to be reigned in. I set about my task innocently enough. My tool of choice a gasoline powered 2 stroke engine of american/chino engineering and magnificence. The front lawn completed, I set about to perform my task, no my duty for the backlawn when i noticed the garden hose was not coiled properly. Grudgingly I set about squaring away the rubberized tube to it's proper place. A sharp pain registers on my left shin, such a thing is not unusual with fire ants about, but this was a little more painful. The culprit, a wasp. The red demon evaded my initial reflexive rub with my right foot. This was merely thought to be a fire ant, until i notced a slight difference in the pain. I immediately evacuated the area the wasps were circling, and began to assess my new enemy, for they had decalred war upon me. I sought the nest which was inside the hose mount, I quivered with anticipation as I set about pulling the hose and applying water pressure. I opened the cavity, shooting the bugs down from the air as i sprayed, eventually loosing pupae after pupae from the tennisbal sized paper nest. once all airforces were downed and the sleeping young were knocked free of their beds, I crept to the house and fetched a general insecticide, doubting its efffectiveness against adult wasps but discharging it upon the beasts even so. Victory was mine the nes a soaked and tattered monument to their failure.

in short I was stug while mowing today and I took out the damn bastards, all in shorts and flipflops... sounds crazy am I right?
