"Here, let me Nov." Clock nudged Novae to the side. She pounded on the door with her hoof, "Anybody home!"

"Um...I guess it's locked...maybe we should leave?" Novae said. "What would you feel if somepony broke into your home?"

[CamoBadger]

"Fuck off!" A raspy voice yelled from inside after the knock.

[Katarn]

"Okay!" Novae bolted from door and behind Jayne.

[Tytan]

"Fine! After you tell us where we can find a doctor! We're told he comes from this direction on his way to Arbu!"

[CamoBadger]

"Tell her I'm out of her daughter's juice!" the voice shouted out.

[Tytan]

"So you're him! Open the door so we can talk like normal ponies!"

[XT Vengeance]

"It wasn't your fault Miri. It's mine. I...I should have been prepared. I should have kept better watch."

"I'll pass," the voice replied simply.


"Char, it's not your fault. Stop blaming yourself for that."

[Tytan]

"Then tell me what you were giving the girl!"

[CamoBadger]

No response came from the house.

[Tytan]

"I know you give a damn! You wouldn't call yourself a doctor if you didn't! Whatever this 'juice' is, if you're out then maybe I can find more!"

"HA! I bet you could," the voice yelled back. "Do you really want to get some for her?"

[Tytan]

"If it means she won't have to die, then yes!"

"Alright, do you have a knife?"

[Tytan]

"Yes!"

[CamoBadger]

"Okay, take it out and grip it strong."

[Tytan]

Clock cocked her eyebrow, but she pulled a scalpel out of her doctor bag and floated it in front of her, "Okay..."

"Doc, Ah don't think that's a good idea."

[CamoBadger]

"Now cut yourself and bleed into a jar," the voice explained flatly.

"Miri...I...I'll try."

[Tytan]

Clock kicks the door angrily, "What are you playing at old man!"

[CamoBadger]

"Playing? I'm being serious. Girl needs blood for her condition."

[Tytan]

"What? She eats it? You're gonna have to explain."

[CamoBadger]

"It's called a curse. She has to have blood in her diet every so often or she dies," the voice explained in an annoyed tone. "That is if she doesn't start eating other folk first."

[Guest]

"So....She's a vampony?"

[Tytan]

"So why couldn't you just tell her mother? I'm sure she'd be willing to make some donations."

[CamoBadger]

"I guess I could have," the voice agreed. "But I can't imagine mother dearest being to happy to learn that her kid started craving blood overnight. This way she thinks it's just a disease that will pass."

"How did you find out?"

[CamoBadger]

"The same way I know the medicine." A burst of laughter tore through the house.
