Out of curiosity, what inspired y'alls characters? I remember Katarn told me about his characters' origins, but I've yet to hear everyone else's, IIRC.

Mince is based off of the same character traits (Although far from being the same person) as Rincewind from the Discworld Books.

I'm researching him a little bit now, he looks interesting.

I don't remember exactly what I based Cast Iron upon, but I do know that he started out as a copy of Iron Fury from my story. Of course, he eventually turned into someone else that is partly based upon myself.

I couldn't tell you if I tried. A little bit of a lot of things, I suppose.
At first, I was going for a 'religious zealot' sort of character, but ended up with a cannibal...somehow, so I just went from there.

I didn't really base Searchlight off of anyone.
Though the name obviously came from the camp in New Vegas.

I mainly created my little system for designing characters because most of what I design from scratch turns out to be horse shit.

I'm getting a window of clarity today, so I'll probably revamp stuff so it gets out of that rip off stage.

Mine started off with the idea of creating a physically weak but smart character who has a physically strong but less than bright guardian. Their story stemmed from there.

Even though I'm not in the RP, Slim and Easy Pickin's are originals. Or as original as my mind can produce. Spawned from my FoE story I had planned on writing but hasn't/probably never will come to fruition, the idea was that Slim was the sheriff and mayor of a small settlement and claimed to be the great great great grandson of Silver Star.

Easy would be the town prostitute who enjoyed her job, but was actually the real brains that kept the town running and provided Slim with ideas of how to keep the town running and protected.

The setting was after Red Eye's rise to power and intended end the day Littlepip left Stable 2.

Not quite sure how I came up with Quiver's character. What he ended up being was a reasonably courageous, adventurous pony with few applicable skills to Stable life with rather moderate family issues. His origins being the descendants of pegasi crippled in the war with the zebras.

Mine were inspired by an FoE fic that wound up being axed after the second chapter. I liked the idea behind the character, and adapted it.
