Whisper walks back into New Hope as the sun rises, looking clearly distraught Come on now, holdin' it off ain't gonna make it any easier is it?He sighs as he approaches Azure's door Maybe she's still asleep I could just- He shakes his head and takes a deep breath No, knowin' her she's either workin' or just gettin' up. He knocks on the door and waits for an answer.

Azure yawns as she walks to the door"Who could it be at this hour?"She says to herself as she peers through the peep hole, and opens the door once she sees her father"Daddy! You're home!"She hugs him tightly"Serra and I missed ya!"

He weakly smiles and returns the hug."I missed y'all too. H-how she'd do? Didn't cause too much trouble did she?"

"No, she was a little angle. Her and Athena got along great, it's almost like they're sisters. So how'd the trip go daddy?"

"That's great, sweetie."He gulps when she asks"It was...Fun."He looks down

Azure looks at her father"Daddy? What's wrong?"

"Can I come in?"

"Y-yeah sure."She lets her father in.

He nods and sits down on the couch.

Azure sits next to him"Daddy?"

He takes a deep breath"N-now ya know yer mother and I love you very much, right? That we wouldn't do anythin' ta hurt ya."

"Y-yeah."She looks worried"W-why, what happened?"

"W-well, yer mother and I we're...We're no longer together"He sighs quietly and looks down.

"Yer what?"

He takes deep breath Come on, Whisper, Buck up."We aren't together anymore..."He hangs his head low.

Azure starts to tear up"Wh-what? B-but why?"

"We don't get along like we used ta, I guess we just grew apart..."

"But.. How? Ya were fine when ya left."

"I... I wish I could tell ya, sweetheart, I really do. It's just we aren't happy together. And as much as I wished it weren't the case we just aren't happy and it ain't fair ta either of us ta pretend ta be happy. So, We... I decided it was for the best if we just separated..."

Azure starts crying.

"I'm so sorry, sweetie. I'm so so sorry... I wish it could of worked, I really do. Please, don't cry."He tries to put his hoof on her shoulder.

She shifts away from his hoof"Just. Go. Please, daddy. Just go."She says not even looking at him.

He gets up"But, Serra."

"I'll watch her. Just go, before we say somethin' we don't mean."

He looks down and walks to the door."I'm so sorry, sweetie. I love you."

Azure doesn't say anything, and continues to sob.

Whisper exits his daughter's home and closes the door behind him."I'm sorry."He says sadly as he makes his way to the clinic. Once inside he gives Roxie a sad pet, goes into his office and locks the door.

Crys watches Whisper walk into his office, not taking her eyes off him. After half-checking to see if someone could still watch over the lobby, she got up and quietly walked over to her brother's office, and knocked softly on the door.
"Hey bro? Can I come in?"

Whisper slides on the last of his gear and starts checking it the mirror"Hmmm? Oh, yeah come on in."He magically unlocks the door and opens it.

[Aonee]

Crys walks in and shuts the door behind her. "Bro? What's wrong?"

[Guest]

Whisper sighs"My little girl's mad at me, I made her upset. That's what's wrong."

[Aonee]

"And? What did you do?"

[Guest]

Whisper turns and looks at her"I told her, her mother and I ain't together anymore."He sighs"I probably should of waited but would it of been any easier? She'd still be upset, still be mad."

[Aonee]

((I'm assuming this should come to a shock to Crys as well. Or did they try marriage counseling?))

[Guest]

((It should probably be shock to her.))

[Aonee]

Crys takes a step back, the shock and disbelief clear in her voice. "Y-You what?!? But- what happened?"

Whisper looks at Crys"Just grew apart I guess. I honestly don't know what happened, just wasn't happy anymore. Thought the trip would help, but it didn't, we just argued."He says honestly" I just didn't think it was fair for ta either of ta pretend that we were happy."

[Aonee]

Crys walks up and pulls her brother into a hug. "In that case, I'm sorry."

[Guest]

Whisper returns the hug"Thanks, but ya don't need ta be. It was for the best. Ya know if Iffin is in town? Might as well get it out of the way, ya know?"

[Aonee]

Crys nods. "She should be. She's had her talons full, now that the littlest one's learned to walk."

"They did huh?"He smiles"Well, ain't that somethin'."He walks out of his office"Thanks again, sis."He nods then walks over to Iffin's house. He knocks on the door.

Iffin answers the door, a small deer fawn, no older than a year, on her back, looking almost the same as any other deer his age except for the pair of feathery wings on his back.
Iffin has a small look of surprise on her face at seeing her dad. "Oh, hey dad. How'd the trip go?"

[Guest]

Whisper smiles and waves at the fawn on her back"Uh, all right I 'spose."He looks at Iffin"Uh, mind if I come in? We kinda need ta talk."

[Aonee]

Little Jimmy waves back, smiling.
"Okaay..." Iffin holds the door open for her dad, and starts walking to the living room.

[Guest]

"Thanks."He walks in the living room and sighs"Uh, I ain't really the best with sayin' this. but uh yer mother and I kinda separated..."He looks down"I'm sorry."

[Aonee]

Iffin opens her beak a few times as if to say something, but is nonetheless shocked speechless.

[Guest]

Whisper looks up at Iffin"Well, yer certainly takin' it better then yer sister is..."

[Aonee]

Iffin works her beak for about a minute or so, then finally manages to say something. "Where's mom?"
