[PER 1] Alvina shook her head and pulled her aim away from the brick to start scanning over the other building, disappointed in herself for thinking another sharpshooter would be that clumsy.

[Sneak 59 (failed)] Alvina pulled back her rifle from the window when she couldn't catch any sign of the other shooter. Without thinking, she turned to keep moving but screeched as she put weight on her injured leg, having forgotten in the tension of the fight.

[Orm]

Searchlight looked at Eve, then looked at the door.
"I guess we find out what's door number 1."

[CamoBadger]

"I think that leads to the back side of the cages," Mira pointed out. "But I could be wrong."

[Orm]

"How many guards should we be expecting?" He asked.

[CamoBadger]

"Well, there are 15 total, but that doesn't include the captain or "Boss"," she explained. "Hopefully we won't have to fight them all at once."

[XT Vengeance]

[combat (10+2+2+2) Damage (6+4+2+1)]Charcoal heard the scream and sighted in, gently squeezing the trigger.

Crack!

The round flew out of the muzzle, soaring swift and true. In an instant the bullet entered what passed for Alvina's left ear and exited through her right cheek, splattering bits of brain and bone across the room.

Charcoal bowed his head solemnly, giving his opponent a moment of silence in homage to her skill.

[Orm]

"And that thing you were working on? What should we expect from that?" Searchlight said as he made his way to the door.

[CamoBadger]

"You'll see," Mira told him with a sly grin. "I don't want to ruin the surprise."

[Orm]

"Great." Searchlight said as his magic enveloped the door handle. He turns to the others in the room. "Everyone ready?"

[Ironmonger]

Cast nods. His eyes flicker and change colors, from their normal gold, to orange, to red, and back again. He's getting antsy.

[MrMagma]

Eve exhales shakily, and nods. "Y-yeah."

[XT Vengeance]

[luck 7 (9+2)]Charcoal packed up his rifle and made his way out of the tower. He climbed his way up to where the enemy sniper had died and checked her for anything useful.

Mira nodded as she pulled out the borrowed knife and covered the blade in poison.


Charcoal finds:
- Griffin Sniper Rifle (Req: STR 7, Guns 65) [+2 damage, +1 to combat rolls at range, -2 from combat rolls at point blank]
- 45 caps
- 5 AP rounds

[Ketchup]

Quiver checks over his weapon briefly.
"I'm ready."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal lets out a low whistle in awe at the rifle. "Now now, I can't just leave a pretty lady like you out here," Charcoal said, taking the rifle, AP ammo, and the caps.

He bowed his head over the fallen griffin, holding his hat over his heart. "I promise I'll take care of her Miss," he said solemnly.

[Orm]

"Alright, here we go." Searchlight pointed his revolver up and he pushed the door.

[XT Vengeance]

[combat (8+2+2+2) Damage (5+2+1+4)]Charcoal trotted to a window facing the stadium and sighted in on one of the guards. He loaded an incendiary round and gently squeezed the trigger. With a loud crack he shot the guard on the right.

The door comes out right behind the slave cages, just like Mira guessed. Four guards are roaming around the cage itself while 8 more are stationed around the stadium to keep watch. The last two are standing outside at the gate. Nobody noticed the door open.

As soon as the door opened, Mira dashed through and charged at the nearest guard with her knife at the ready.
[vs Guard 3: 18 (4+5+1= 10 damage)] She turned to the side and rammed the knife between the griffin's legs, gelding him as blood sprayed into the mare's face. ((Guard 3 - 40/50HP))

[Orm]

Searchlight fires at one of the guards roaming around the cage.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron thundered towards the same guard as Mira.
[Combat (16)] A claw unfolded and he slammed it into the guard's left foreleg. [Damage (9+4)]

[Guest]

[COM(19)] Shadow slammed into the guard Mira and Cast were attacking. [DAM(9+4)] [CRIP (5) body cripple] Shadow heard a few ribs snap in the guard.

[MrMagma]

[Agility 8-1; 9+2] [Combat: 12+1, 16+1, 7+1] [Damage: 3, 7+1, MISS] Eve dives out of the doorway, jumping over Mira's head, and propelling herself with excessive force off of the guard she and the others were attacking. Taking flight, she quickly moves to another guard, and delivers a swift kick to the face. Whilst she still had momentum, she flew to another guard, but narrowly flew over his head, missing her opportunity for another attack.

[COM(7)] Cherry attempted to tackle one of the guards like her husband had but missed.

Viktor rushed one of the guards and bashed him upside the head with his fist. (Str 8+5)

The guards inside the stadium screeched and all dove at the nearest attackers, 4 remaining airborne as they attacked.
[vs Clock: 7+2] Missed.

[vs Shadow: 8+2] Missed.

[vs Viktor: 3+2] Missed.

[vs Eve: 7+2] Missed.

[vs Cherry: 1+2] Missed.

[vs Quiver: 10+2 (9-2= 7 damage)] One griffin opened fire on Quiver and hit him squarely in the back. ((Quiver - 133/140HP))

[vs Cast: 14+2 (1 damage)] Another dove at Cast and clawed into him. ((Cast Iron - 129/130HP))

[vs Jayne: 15+2 (9+5= 14 damage)] A third fired a shotgun into Jayne's chest. ((Jayne - 116/130HP))

[vs Novae: 18+2 (4+3= 7 damage) (Cripple Roll: 8 - Leg Crippled)] One of the griffins staying airborne fired a shot at Novae, sending a bullet through her shoulder. ((Novae - 113/120HP))

[vs Mirabelle: 13+2 (10 damage)] The last guard landed on Mira and slammed his talons down on her back. ((Mirabelle - 90/100HP))


(Panic: 6 - no panic) The two guards outside jumped into action, one ignoring the fire burning over his feathers as they looked frantically for cover from the sniper who'd hit one of them.
[AGL4] The one on fire started trying to run to cover, but couldn't move very fast with the distraction of the fire over him.
[AGL9] The other leaped behind a crashed cart for cover.
