Charcoal smiled and hugged the mare back. "I had given up hope of anyone having survived a long time ago. It...it just feels good to have been proven wrong, you know?"

Mira nodded in agreement.

"Miri, you don't have to tell me if you don't want but...what happened to you?" Charcoal asked carefully, not wanting to lose his only surviving childhood friend again.

She pulled out of the hug and looked down. "They took me after the attack. They thought everyone was dead, but... I..." she shook her head and looked away. "They... they kept me around for a few years, then sold me to a slave caravan for a case of liquor."

"Mira, I...if I'd known, I would have found you, you know that right? I...I'm sorry," Charcoal said, his ears drooping.

"Don't be, you still saved me," she assured him with a little grin. "Along with your friends. Thank you all so much."

Clock approaches Charcoal, "Char, I..." Clock then notices Mirabelle, "Oh, uh... hi."

"Hi," Mira responded with a little wave.

Charcoal smiled when he heard Clock. "Clock, this is Mirabelle. Her family and mine ran the caravan we grew up with. Miri, this is Clock. She's...she's my fiance."

"Oh, well it's nice to meet you," Mirabelle offered. "I'm glad Char found someone. Finally," she finished with an exhausted giggle.

[Tytan]

Clock bows her head slightly, "It's nice to meet you Mirabelle... If you don't mind my asking, how is it you ended up... there?"

"Hey!" Charcoal said in response to Mira.

[CamoBadger]

"Oh, um... I was sold to them a few months ago," Mirabelle replied quietly.

[Tytan]

"Oh... I'm sorry. I'm glad we got you out of there."

"I am too."

"Oh...uh, Clock. I...I sorta don't have any caps anymore. I promise, I will get you the ring you deserve though. Even if I have to make it myself," Charcoal told her, not wanting to forget.

"Oh, and Mira, do...do you want to come along with us?"

[Tytan]

"It's fine Char. I can wait."

"Besides. I think we're gonna get them back anyways."

"I... I'm not sure Char," the mare replied quietly. "It's great to see you again and I really appreciate you getting me out of there, but I have something I need to take care of."

"Charcoal smiled at Clock before turning back to Mirabell.

"Mira, you and I grew up together. We got into all sorts of trouble together. You tell me what you need and I will do my damnedest to help," Charcoal said with determination.

Mira sighed. "Are you sure? It might be a bit rough for you."

[XT Vengeance]

"Mira, I just spent the last eight years hunting down raiders with only Scorch for company. I...things have happened in the last couple months that made me want to just...to just curl up and die. You are my friend, and damn near the only family I have left. I'm not abandoning you." Charcoal let out a heavy sigh. "I just got you back, I can't lose you again, alright?"

[Tytan]

"Me and Viktor will help too. Any friend of Charcoals is a friend of ours."

[CamoBadger]

"Hunting Raiders huh?" she asked with a suddenly curious stare. "Well then maybe you won't mind. I'm going back to kill the Raiders that killed our families."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal deadpanned. He shook off his shock a moment later. "I hope that wasn't' a question, because you should already know my answer."

With a loud squawk, Scorch swooped down and landed next to Charcoal. He cocked his head to the side and chirped at the stallion.

"No Scorch, she is an old friend of mine. Mira, this is Scorch."

"Squawk." Scorch bowed to the mare and then offered her his talon to shake.

Cherry looks up at Shadow"Shadow, 'bout Fl-"

He looks at her holding up tendril"Ya don't gotta ask, we'll take care of her, just like we promised."

"Thanks..."

"Don't mention it. Just sleep, we'll get her back and ah'll make sure she stays safe this time."

Cherry nods again and lays next to him, slowly closing her eyes.

He strokes her mane. Sorry, Tumble, should of at least tried to do somethin'...He looks down at Cherry Don't worry though, ah won't fail Flower. Ah'll keep her safe, just like ya were. Cherry and ah will keep her safe.

Cherry falls asleep.

Ah hatred, how wonderful it tastes! Almost as good as sadness and misery

Oh no Shadow, you're stuck with us. Remember?

"Just, please, go away."

No, I think I'll just stay for a while.

"Yer a bastard ya know that?"

Shadow sighs trying to ignore the voice in his head.

"Oh... h-hi," she shakily replied. "N-n-nice to meet you."

[Perception 10 (8+5)]Scorch looked at the mare and cocked his head to the side. "Squawk? Kaw kakaw squawk."

"You okay Mira? Scorch said that he thinks you are scared of him."

"Y-yeah, well that's a c-common response to a bird that can light you on fire."

[XT Vengeance]

"Aw come on Mira. Give the guy a chance. besides, he only lights bad guys on fire."

Scorch cooed softly and slowly waddled closer to the mare.
