So its not a prequel, more like extended canon.

They slept through the night on the way, traveled for a full day, then were kept up all night by bloodwings in the morning of the current day, so it's been longer than that.

Well, it has only been a couple of hours, give her a break.
She'll most likely get better over time, but old Eve won't be making a comeback any time soon, if at all.
