I probably know the answer to this, but my nerves are kinda shot right now and I can barely think straight, so fuck it. Will Cast be able to use his pistol despite being damaged from that bad roll? Part of me is saying that it would need to be repaired.

You would need to repair it first.

I'm fairly certain Katarn's gone, and Guard is still absent. I'm not sure about anyone else. I think there's enough of us to get through the first fight, but I'm not sure.

Griffin weapons are made to be fired by talon. Pony weapons are made to be fired from the mouth.
The griffin guns will also be more about firepower and mobility with less accuracy.
