You didn't. Tumble suffered for Tumble's mistakes. Camo told us all that our characters could die. ANYONE can die. The whole point is to try and survive.

Also; There's a severe difference between dying in combat, and getting one shot because you didn't play exactly how the DM wanted you to.

Okay, kinda caught up now. Last, I'm sorry but you didn't really give him a reason not to kill you. Slaver boss with detonator in hand is not a good time to insult him.

With that said, we could appeal as a group to Camo to redo the scene for a different outcome and hopefully he allows it.

Not likely, highly improbable, but not entirely impossible.

Other then that, the die has been cast, the cards are on the table, and... well... favor did not smile upon you this day.
