I didn't ignore your help. I took it into consideration, thought about what my character would do in that situation and acted. I'm sorry he didn't line up with your ideas.

I had to go off of what he understood of Alvina not what you or I did.

You do have some leeway for defining how a character will act.

I chose the path I thought was most in character for him Tytan based on what he knew.

He believed the rumors about Alvina were true.

He didn't know help was coming.

Because they way we play it now encourages Meta (I think that's the term) rather than natural story.

Don't get me wrong, the system we have now is great, and works perfectly, but this is why I wanted to start a separate RP, that's JUST RP.
