"Well, yes, to an extent. They'd be after material gain, not a moral one."

"Oh, believe me. There will be enough propaganda, telling everyone how they are saviours. Anyway. Do you want to know something else?"

[Ketchup]

"One more, what kind of military do they have? Weapons and such?"

[Katarn]

Rolls eyes. "Are you planning on taking them with nothing but your smile and that SMG of yours? In general...well...they prefer energy weapons, have mobile flying battle platforms and vertibucks. But there are no production of it, if I've hear right. So losing one of those - is heavy blow to them."

[Ketchup]

"Taking them on? Heheh, no. I was just wondering what we would face if we do manage to come across them. Energy weapons. Good to know."
He scratches his chin with his hoof.
"I think that's it. Thank you for being more cooperative than Cherry was."
He walks back down to the tavern and takes his seat.

[Katarn]

"Well..that was..interesting to hear." Novae was sitting beside Quiver.

[Ketchup]

"Yeah, it makes more sense now."
He quietly chuckles.
"Jayne clearly doesn't like me."

[Katarn]

"What do you think that?"

[Ketchup]

"Oh, I dunno... he just seems innately hostile to me."

[Katarn]

"Maybe because you took part of his place in my life?" Novae smiled and nuzzled his neck.

[Ketchup]

"Do you think he's... jealous?"

[Katarn]

"Maybe...a little...I don't know."

[Ketchup]

He sighs.
"Y'know, I asked him if, theoretically, of course, he'd kill me for a lot of caps, and he said no, because it would upset you. You are more important than money to him, and he seems to love his money."

[Katarn]

"He do love money...and me. Maybe one day he learn to tolerate you." Novae said with a smirk.

[Ketchup]

"Maybe we can teach him to be helpful... and not so driven by profit."

[Katarn]

"He's trying..sometimes. But don't expect him to become altruistic hero of wasteland." Novae said with giggle.

[Ketchup]

"Heheh, no. I don't expect him to be."
He smiles slightly, but it fades.
"I've been meaning to ask... am I the first buck that Jayne has tried to chase away? Well, I guess he didn't try to chase me away, but you know what I mean."

[Katarn]

"First one? No. First one, who intended to become my coltfriend? Yes. You see...zebras aren't really liked here. Considering what happened in the past, folks still blaming my kin for this all."

[Ketchup]

He blushes.
"Well... um... it wasn't my intention from the start..."
He clears his throat.
"Thanks for telling me."

[Katarn]

"And what was your intention from the start?"

[Ketchup]

"Well, when I first met you, I found you intriguing. Over time, I guess I became attracted to you... as you did to me."

[Katarn]

"Oh...that's good. To be honest, at first I was interested in your pipbuck more, than in you."

[Ketchup]

"Yeah, I remember. I guess things have changed quite a bit since then."
He nuzzles Novae.

[Katarn]

"Mhm." Novae nuzzled Quiver back.

[Guest]

Flower eyes opened up her "dad" still sleeping next to her. The filly carefully stepped around his legs. Flower poked her head out of the tent and spotted her other pegasus friend.

A jolt of fear shot through her. She watched the pegasus still unsure of who she could trust. Cherry and Shadow hadn't hurt her or her dad though.

The filly swallowed nervously and cautiously approached her. "Eve?" She said almost in a whisper.

Eve looks down at the filly, wondering why she was whispering, but decided not to ask. "Yeah?"

[Guest]

Flower looked sadly up at the mare and asked what was on her mind. "Are you going to hurt me and Daddy?"

[MrMagma]

"I don't have a reason to. So, no."

[Guest]

She stepped closer to Eve and sat down next to her. She seemed relieved by the mare's answer. Enough so it seemed the only part of Eve's answer the Filly heard was 'No'. "Promise?"
