Shadow moves closer to Cherry and a tendril starts to slither down the sleeve of his coat.

"Did my ancestors betray their kind too? By seeking refuge in a Stable while the world burned instead of flying up?"
He said in a flat tone.

Cherry maintains her glare"If they were in the stables before the sky got closed up, then ah don't think they were part of the Enclave ta begin with. So, they couldn't have betrayed us."

"Would they brand Quiver, if they capture him though?"

"He was born a surface dweller, so he never was or will be considered part of the Enclave. Basically ta them, he doesn't exist."

"Well, I guess that's comforting..."
He shifts uneasily.

[Katarn]

"Um..Cherry..I know you've told you're loyal to Enclave and all...but what will happen to you, if they find you? I'm just worried about you, you're nice mare...and I don't want anything bad happen to you."

"Ah...Ah don't know, last ah heard they think ah'm dead so ah really don't know."She says sadly and looks down

Shadow steps closer to her and pulls her into a hug"Mind changin' the subject?"He says in a way that's more of an order then a suggestion.

"Maybe we should go... thanks for answering our questions. "
He motions for Novae to follow, and returns to the tavern.

"Sorry." Novae said quietly and follow Quiver.

He takes a seat.
"I hope I wasn't doing too much interrogating... she didn't really tell us much."

"Yeah...I know who could tell more...maybe...though I might be wrong."

"It's fine, sugar cube, couldn't of known."She sighs.

Shadow watches the couple leave then looks at Cherry"Ya gonna be alright, darlin'?"

She nods"Y-yeah, ah'll be fine. Just need sometime."

"All right, if ya need anythin'."

"Ah know, sweetheart. Thank ya."

"Who? Jayne? Viktor?"

"Yeah, Jayne..but now that you've mentioned it...Viktor was here even before war...do you think he knows something about Enclave?"

"Well, he's old, so that might be something. Maybe we should talk to Jayne about it, though."

"Well then..you ain't afraid meeting him?" Novae said with smile.

"Then let's go, I think he's staying our room." Leads Quiver to the room. She opens door. "Won't we distract you?"

"We?" Jayne raised eyebrow.

Quiver steps into the doorway.
"Um, yeah. I want to know more about the Enclave."

"Those turkeys..." He glared at Quiver. "You should exercise or something, if you want to carry Novae with you."
"Anyway, I don't know much but go ahead, ask."

He rolls his eyes.
"Who was Rainbow Dash?"

"Her? Heh..she's kinda famous. Been..hm..Ministry mare, I believe. But she famous not only for that. I guess you know that she flew back here short time after bombs feel. Pegasi call'd her traitor..but I guess you know that already. What you don't know, she was agitating others to get down here to help survivors, but pegasi panicked and didn't want to risk their hides for others."

"That would explain the 'dashite' label... but not why they'd just stay up there, cowering and not helping the surface even now. Why?"

[Katarn]

"Beats me. Griffons and Enclave not actually on...'friendly' terms. Yeah, we're mercs for most part, but we have our own country." Jayne exhaled. "There was war, after bombs fell. Not really long ago. You see, that pretty cloud layer, Enclave grow food for themselves there. And at some point...there was not enough place or too much pegasi or both, but they need to expand. Expand on griffin territory. Now, they could've offer money, trade, something. Maybe they did, not that I know something about it. But I do know they came in force and destroyed few of our towns. Don't take wrong idea it didn't cost them. But I guess they telling everyone how they won, yet it was tie."
"You might ask me, why am I telling you this. And I'll tell you. The day they will come down here, will be when many folks lose their lives."

[Ketchup]

"...So the Enclave are expansionists? Just taking what they want?"
He shook his head.
"No wonder everyone seems to hate them..."

[Katarn]

"Oh, no. They hardly can be call'd 'expansionist'. And it's only between griffons and pegasi. Down here they are hated for..well..abandoning everyone and closing sky with clouds."

"You mentioned-as Novae did earlier- that it would be bad if they came down. That many would be killed. What would cause that if they weren't interested in conquering the surface?"

Smirks. "How many resources do you think they have up there? How much they'll have to expand clouds to grow enough food? Sooner or later they come here, for food, resources. Sure, best guess is trade. But you see, for them 'muck dwellers' are no one, especially to their military. Sure they have government, education, order. And they will bring it here, on their terms. and who will resist...well, Enclave don't ask, they demand."

"...So they are imperialists. Right. If they did come down to help, it would only be to their own benefit, right?"
