She tuned to Charcoal. After a long silent moment she hugged him. She whispered in his ear, "Please, stop me."

"As much pain as we've been through? We've seen everyone we love die, all of our friends die, everything we ever knew burn. A few more miserable smoothskins could never hope to repay what we've gone through."

"Eve, dear. I know I might be rough towards you, but could you show your sharpshooting skills on hostage again, if doc here make another step towards those two?"

"I...if...if you don't want to be with me...I...I'll go in your place," Charcoal said, gently pushing the mare back to the others.

"Nope. Clearly, me shooting the hostage, that we didn't even know about, was oh so wrong." Eve pauses for a moment, and grins behind her mask "If you care that much, you do it."

That doesn't make any of this right! Some of these ponies have lost their friends and families. The only difference is they don't go around using it as an excuse for mass murder! There has got to be a way for this to end without anyone else dying?"

"Don't you do that Char. Don't you fucking dare! If you do I... I'll kill myself. I will stick a goddess damned gun in my goddess damned mouth and pull the goddess-fucking-damned trigger!"

Pulls out his pistol. "Distance is big...I might not kill her from first shot..or did you think I wouldn't do it?"

"Are you saying that what you were going to do would be any different?" Charcoal says sadly. "I..I knew I shouldn't have gotten involved."

[CamoBadger]

"Searchlight, I appreciate the sentimentality of all this, but I really don't care for your side of it. I've had the last two centuries to think about this, what makes you think a few seconds of talking with you could change my mind?" Pinnacle asked flatly. "Now, if you'd get out of the way please, I have a trade to make."

Eve shrugs. "Doesn't matter to me. Kill her. Don't. Kill them both. Kill yourself. This path ends in blood, but who's? That's up to you."

"If neither of y'all will do it, ah can."

[Tytan]

"It's... I... I..." Clocks knocking knees buckled and she fell to the ground. She started openly sobbing, "I don't want anyone to die!"

"Or we could compete. Only distance what worries me, if I just wound her, I won't get clear second shot."

[combat (10+2+2+2)]Charcoal unslings his rifle and shoots Blood Clot. He then quietly started to walk away from the burning town, his head held low.

[Tytan]

Clock stared aghast as she watched Charcoal fire. She was to shocked to say anything.

[Katarn]

"Well...that was expected, to be fair."

[Aonee]

Crusher walked over and picked Clock up, put her on its back, and followed Charcoal.

[Bullet Lasso] As the bullet is in flight, a string of magic shot from Pinnacle's horn and catches the bullet just before it reaches Blood Clot. "No cheating smoothcoats. If you want her to die so bad, just say so," he explained as he dropped the bullet and pressed his revolver to the horrified Clot's head again.

"I've been through just as much shit as you have! I've lost my home, my friends, and my family! But I didn't use that as an excuse for a Celestia damned genocide! I've accepted that their gone, and killing ponies that don't deserve it won't bring any of that back!"

He quickly turned to to Blood Clot as he heard the shot fired, then looked back at the others on the hill.
He quickly looked back at Pinnacle pressing the gun against Clot's head. "This doesn't need to end like this! She doesn't need to die!"

[Ironmonger]

Cast turns to Shadow. "Any idea who zeh ozzer hostage vas? I didn't get a good look."

Shadow nods"Well, there was only one pegasus in town. So ah guess it was Ms.Cinnamon. Sorry."

[Ironmonger]

Cast grimaces and his eyes briefly flash orange. "Zings happen. No point in being sad about it. Von't get me anyvere."

"Good way ta look it ah guess."

[XT Vengeance]

[combat (13+2+2+2)]Charcoal turns around at the ghoul's taunt and fires another shot at Blood Clot. He then quietly turns back and continues walking.

[CamoBadger]

Pinnacle stared at Searchlight for a moment, then shook his head. "You obviously missed my point. I've had 200 years to decide on this, and this is what will happen. You can either join me, or die with these other animals." He grinned as Blood crumpled and holstered his revolver. "And your friend is just the example I needed."

[Aonee]

Cruser follows Charcoal again.

Clock is catatonic.

Shadow looks at Tumble and Eve"So, ya wanna head back ta our camp? Ah don't think we can do anythin' here."
