"Her brain is damaged. Nobody knows how brains work, those chemicals might have damaged her memory. It's strange, but it makes sense in a way."

Shadow looks at Tumble and Cast. Then at Cherry"Darlin' lets go see whats goin' on. Cast, ah'm gonna need ya and Tumble ta watch our backs all right?"

Cherry nods and makes her way to the lone pony with Shadow at her side.

"Go back to New Appleloosa," the pony told them bluntly as they approached.

[Ironmonger]

Cast readies himself to snap up his rifle from its place on his back in case of trouble. He musters the sternest look and stance he can.

[Guest]

"Mind if ah ask why?"

Shadow stands quietly staring at the pony.

[Katarn]

"Maybe you're right, kid. I--"

"Are you talking about me here?"

Jayne was stunned for a second. "I should go." He stands up and leaves.

"What was it about?"

[Ketchup]

Quiver looked at Novae with a surprised expression.
"Well... how much did you hear?"

[Katarn]

"Only you talking about my brain. Is that that big issue? I mean, it doesn't do any harm to anyone. Oh, how are you by the way? Do you drink that brew I've done for you? What your pipbuck says?"

[Ketchup]

"Oh, well I'm feeling much better, I drank some of it, but there's still some left. My PipBuck still says it's there. The antibiotics and your drink seem to be helping, though."

[Katarn]

"That's great! So.." Novae leans closer to Quiver. "...did my dad threaten to kill you again, so you could leave me?"

[Ketchup]

"No actually, he didn't. We talked about being 'good', as in, doing nice things for people. We have... different approaches to that. Then we ended up on the subject of your meeting, and your brain, and why you wouldn't remember... someone. I'm not sure Jayne wants you to know... I mean, I'll tell you, if you want... but... yeah."

[Katarn]

"Yeah, he has his own approach to 'doing good'. And as for last part.." Novae winces from pain. "Ow. He said something about that..but every time I' trying to remember - my head hurts. We could talk about it...but more likely you'll see me howling and rolling in pain."

[CamoBadger]

"Just... just go back. There's no good waiting for you in Old Appleloosa," the pony replied frantically.

"Alright, then we ought to abstain from talking about that. How are you, anyway?"

"Contract? What contract?"

"Eh, as usual. And if you're worried, that I've catch same thing you did..well...what's the symptoms?"

"Well, the coughing, and a sore throat."
Quiver waves his hoof.
"You probably are quite resistant to it anyway, I wouldn't be worried."

[Guest]

"We have job waitin' fer us in Old Appleloosa, from one Mr.Sliver Arrow. We were told ta met him there fer details."She says truthfully

[Katarn]

"Yeah, I didn't feel anything like that. I'm not medic as you or Clock..but I've heard if you get sick and then get well, you will be resistant to that kind of flu..or something like that. Does it mean you won't catch it anymore?"

[CamoBadger]

"Like I said, there is no good waiting for you there. Turn around... please..."

Cherry sighs"Ain't much good waitin' fer us in New Appleloosa either,*She motions at Tumble and Flower*We got a couple folks with us that can't go back there."She looks at the pony"So, we don't really wanna risk them gettin' hurt. Ah mean, one pony tellin' us not ta go back ta where we have a job is kinda fishy."

"Ah don't mean ta be difficult, but we gotta take care of our own, ya know?"

[CamoBadger]

"F-fine! Go back then!" the pony screamed and threw back her hood, revealing it to be Martini. "But don't say I didn't warn you!" The mare disappeared in a pink flash, and the group was once again alone on the highway.

[Ketchup]

"Well, the flu and cold are both viruses, which have to be fought off by the body's immune system, as they adapt to antivirals too quickly. Once you have the antibodies for fighting that strain of virus, your body can fight it off more easily. Unfortunately, they mutate, changing them and adapting to the countermeasures. Bacteria adapt more slowly, but the same is essentially true."

"Uh, oookay, that was...Odd."She walks back to the group with Shadow in tow"Well, looks like we're in a jam here. Accordin' ta Ms.Martini, Old Appleloosa is a no go, didn't say what, just said that if we go back somethin' bad is gonna happen. But we run the risk of Tumble and Flower gettin' caught if we go back ta New Appleloosa."

[Katarn]

Novae looked at Quiver with confused look on her face. "I get general idea, but not separate words..so this means you might be needing medicine more often?"

[Ketchup]

"Well, due to my not being exposed to the viruses and bacteria that exist out here, but not in the Stable, I might get sick more often. So yes, that is a possibility."

[Ironmonger]

Cast doesn't say anything as he is still somewhat dumbstruck by what he just saw. The confusion is evident on his face.

[Katarn]

"I think actual antibiotics aren't common here..anti-rad and healing stuff - more common...maybe some brews will help either boost your resistance or help to deal with flu?"
Smirks. "You know what pony say about zebras...aside that we caused wasteland to appear...that we're 'tribal' folks and 'know some secret brews'...I can try making that brew you've been drinking..but then I'll need more jam or think about other source..."
