Clock looks confused, "Why would you hit me?"

"I..I wouldn't. You...you said not to hit you and I thought that you...that you thought I would do such a thing," Charcoal said, worriedly.

"Oh of course not. That would just be rediculous. Well, not so much for you shapeshifter, but for those of us who can't do it naturally," she commented with a sly grin. "It will last about 6 hours."

[Tytan]

"I don't remember saying anything... was I talking in my sleep?"

Shadow finishes cleaning his knife, and his book appears in front of him in a gray mist.

"Nothing lasts forever, Jayne, and everyone dies. Both are a question of when... and how. The future of Equestria relies on what people do, and I'm choosing to help. When this group, one that has resulted from a series of coincidences, deteriorates, I'm honestly not sure what I'll do. I don't care about fame, or fortune. I care more about the people in peril."
Quiver looks Jayne in the eyes.
"Unlike you."

"I'll take it in a bottle." He sighed. "How do you know that anyway? What I am."

"I...I guess you were," Charcoal said, still looking at the floor.

"The vines, Killing Joke, they kill you with a joke on what you are, something you said, something you've done, whatever is funniest to the plant. Given what it did to your clone, I made a guess," Vilisi explained with a smile.

He accepts the answer and turns to Eve then Shadow. "Ready to go?"

Shadow looks up from his reading"Ah guess."He looks at Vilisi"Ya know if this Sliver Arrow fella needs any help with anythin'? We're kinda lookin' fer work."

Cast gets up and moves a short distance from those under his protection, so that he can clear his thoughts in case something happens.

Eve sits in silence, not paying much attention to everything else going on in the small hut. But there was some niggling little thought in the back of her mind. Some question that she felt the need to ask before they left, regardless of whether she would get an answer or not. Snapping out of her little stupor, she shakes her head at Tumble's question, and pulls the charm from her bags. "You wouldn't happen to know what this is, or if it does anything other than look nice, would you?"

Rolls eyes. "There are hundreds of 'people in peril'. You can't help all, more likely you'll get killed. And you know what? No one will benefit from your death. No, seriously, not even raiders or bandits or gangs, call em whatever you like. There always be folks like me, who will clear out their camps, for good caps. And for those caps I'll buy myself good gear, good place to stay, even hire some more like me. And what could you do, mr. 'Wasteland Messiah'? You'll be getting into town and they will be EXPECTING resolving their problems. Sure, they'll throw something like free place to stay and maybe some medical attention...but in the end, you'll end up been just another corpse in wasteland."

[CamoBadger]

"Hm. Yes, maybe you could help him out with a job he's got in Old Appleloosa. He should be there in a day or so if you want to try and catch up with him," the zebra responded as she gave the poultice to Tumble. She looked over to Eve and nodded. "That's a very old charm. I haven't seen one since mine broke a few months back," she looks it over then frowns. "But you're missing a piece. If you can get a piece of Dragon bone somehow, and bring it to me, I can give it an enchantment of your choice."

Clock smiled a little sadly and sat up in bed. She picked up Charcoals face with her hooves and kissed him, "I was probably having a bad dream. I'm over the whole Tumble thing."

"I'll have to keep that in mind." Eve replies with a small nod, and places the charm back in her bags. She turns to face Shadow and Tumble. "Ready whenever you two are."

Shadow gets up and his book disappears and makes his to the trap door. He stops"Um, hate ta bug with this again, but do ya know if any Nightblooms are around that ain't radiated?"

[CamoBadger]

"Not in this forest," Vilisi replied plainly. "Maybe elsewhere in the wasteland, but I wouldn't keep my hopes up if I were you."

[XT Vengeance]

"Oh...sorry. Well, I'm going to go sell some stuff, okay?"

He gets ready to descend the the ladder but decides one more question wouldn't hurt. He turned back to Vilisi. [Survival] "Can you teach me anything?"

"Ya know what they look like? Ah know it's unlikely, but ah like ta have somethin' ta keep on my mind."

Vilisi grinned and nodded to Tumble. "I can if you have a few minutes to learn." She cast a quick look to Shadow. "They look exactly like the Radbloom, except with a black aura."

"And you won't end up as a corpse in the wasteland? Everyone out here does. If there are a hundred problems, and I help solve even a few of those, it'll make a difference to those people. Maybe not to anyone else, but a difference."
He sighs.
"You don't care what happens to me. Why are you telling me this? To scare me, perhaps?"

He looked at Eve and Shadow. "Mind waiting a few minutes?"

[Survival]"You can colour me interested. Couldn't hurt to stick around. Might find out something new."

Shadow nods"Ah'll keep a look out then."He looks at Tumble"Sure. Ah can catch up on some readin' while ah'm here."He goes back to the corner he was and starts reading out of the ancient tome.

"Do you think you're first one, who would put his life at risk to do good? Do you thing up here lives only greedy and violent folks? You can ask around about 'heroes', how many of them folks even remember. How many of them end up dead for no good reason..how many of them become those they were fighting against.."
"You're right, I don't really care what happens to you. I care what happens to Novae, since she CARE what happens to you...And as for scare you..I know that won't work on you now, so I won't even try."
