"I suppose. At least they cared enough to do that," Charcoal reasons, sadness in his voice.

[Tytan]

Clock hesitates before asking her next question, "... What did you mean you two were alike."

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I don't want to talk about it. Not here at least...we...we can go somewhere private to do that."

[Tytan]

"We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock...I...I have so much to tell you that I can't. I want to...it just hurts. If...if you want to hear it...I...I want to tell you," Charcoal says, clearly unsure of himself.

[Tytan]

"Charcoal... I'll always be there to listen..."

To herself:

[XT Vengeance]

[perception 6 (6+1)]"Clock...don't say that. I...I need you," Charcoal says quietly. "Now...lets go back to the room. I...you deserve to know."

[Tytan]

Clock shovels the last of her food into her mouth and follows Charcoal to their room.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal removes his armor and bags and takes a seat on the bed. He opens and shuts his mouth a few times before he can finally find the words.

"Clock...I was born and lived most of my life in a small fishing village in Manehattan. I considered it home for the longest time. When I...after I got my cybernetics, I made my way back home. When...when I got there...they...they didn't want me. I...I was thrown out of my only home for being a monster. If...if it wasn't for Scorch I would have just crawled in a hole and died," he says sadly, tears forming at the corners of his eyes."

[Tytan]

Clock hugs Charcoal, patting his back while talking in a soothing voice, "There there, It's okay. I know you're not a monster. Some ponies are just superstitious."

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock...that...that isn't all," Charcoal mumbles.

[Tytan]

Clock was afraid he was going to say that. "What else is there sweetheart?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I still went back occasionally to check on it. To...to make sure they were safe. A...few months back...I found it was...burned. It...was my fault." Charcoal starts sobbing, unable to hold it in any longer.

[Tytan]

Clock hugs him tighter, letting him sob into her shoulder, "How could it have been your fault? Raider attacks happen all the time, it might have just been bad luck."

[XT Vengeance]

"Do...do raiders leave messages for me in the blood of...of my family regularly?" Charcoal says through chocked sobs.

[Tytan]

Clock tries to think of some reason why, and fails, "I... no, they don't..."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal curls up into a ball, and begins sobbing quietly.

[Tytan]

Clock curls up next to him and rubs his shoulder with one hoof. She puts her forehead on his and lets him cry himself out.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal finally wears himself out after a while. He looks up to Clock, his eyes puffy and red. "You...you're still here..."

[Tytan]

"Of course I am... I promised."

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I..." Charcoal stammers. In a swift motion he pulls her into a long kiss.

[Tytan]

Clock returns the kiss and runs her hoof through his mane.

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock. I...I love you," Charcoal whispers into her ear.

[Tytan]

"I love you too." She whispers into his ear, before kissing him on the cheek.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal blushes and wraps Clock in his hooves, running his mechanical fingers down her spine.

[Tytan]

Clock gasps at the sensation. She kisses his nose and runs her own hoof down his back.

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock," he says, pulling away from the kiss for a moment. "I...I'm glad you stayed."

[Tytan]

"So am I." She says before returning to their kiss.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal slowly presses Clock down onto her back. He runs his mechanical fingers through her tail still kissing her.

[Tytan]

As Charcoal lowers her onto the bed she holds him close. She whispers into his ear, "I have something else in mind for those fingers."
