"That's great! I'll be sure to stop back in. I'll see you then Miss Doo," Charcoal says, smiling as he leaves the shop.

He makes his way to the front gate of the town. Seeing the twin guards at their posts he waves to them. "Hey! We did the job you hired us for."

"Still ask him, he knows all about it, I don't. I know about Psycho. We split the knowledge."

"You did?! Did you find Daddy?" Martini asked frantically and teleported beside Charcoal.

[Katarn]

Takes off her duster and then wears her new armor. Then she puts back her duster. "It fits pretty good with each other..and now I feel...more protected."

"I feel stupid..." Jayne wears his old, many times patched up metal armor on top of his leather one. "It feels like if I've got few more pounds...."

Giggles. "You're cute."

"I hate my life..."

Quiver nods and walks over to the other cyberpony.
"Your colleague told me that you could explain the properties of Hydra, relating to regeneration."

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I'm sorry. We only were able to save a hooffull of mares and three children," Charcoal says sadly. "I wish I could have done more..."

[CamoBadger]

"Medically? Hydra is iffy. It heals severed limbs, ruptured internal organs, all that stuff, but it can cause some bad damage. It shouldn't be used unless you are missing something, otherwise it could cause... adverse effects."

"S-so no... no..." Martini collapsed to the dirt and sobbed as Lotus teleported beside her, looking down at her sister sadly for a moment before looking up to Charcoal.
"I... I guess things didn't go well?"

[XT Vengeance]

"No...not really. It was raiders...I'm sorry for your loss," Charcoal says solemnly.

[Ketchup]

Quiver frowns.
"What kind of adverse effects, aside from addiction?"

[CamoBadger]

"Mutations in the organs that can cause them to stop functioning, or just extra body parts if you're lucky."

"Did... did you save anyone? Are at least some of them okay?" Lotus asked, on the verge of breaking down beside her sister.

[XT Vengeance]

"We managed to save ten mare and three foals from those animals. I...I'm sorry we couldn't save your father," Charcoal says, hanging his head.

[CamoBadger]

"No it's... it's fine. Th-thank you for saving them," Lotus replied before teleporting off to the wall. She returned a few seconds later with a large bag that she put at Charcoal's hooves. "200 caps for everyone that helped." She turned away from him and lied down beside her sister, curling around her as the two cried.

[Ketchup]

"Alright, thanks. Do you have any bandages for sale?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I'm sorry," Charcoal says quietly. He grabs the bah of caps and makes his way to the the tavern. He takes his share of the caps and sits down at a corner table, a depressed look upon his face.

[CamoBadger]

"I've only got 1 left."

[Ketchup]

"I'll take it. How much?"

[CamoBadger]

"20 caps." Caduceus passed over the bandage.

[Ketchup]

Quiver puts 20 caps on the counter and takes the bandage.
"Thanks again."
He trots to the tavern and begins writing.

[Tytan]

Clock trots to the tavern. When she enters she sees Charcoal sitting at a table minus his gruesome splints. She sits next to him, "Hey Char. How're you feeling?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I'm fine. No...I'm not fine. We...I failed. I should have been faster. I shouldn't have gotten injured. Then we could have gotten to ponyville earlier and saved more of them," he says despondently.

[Tytan]

Charcoals words hit right at home for Clock. "It's... there was nothing we could have done," her words ring hollow.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron walks into the tavern and takes a seat at a corner table. His thoughts drift back to the dream he had. He sighs. "One can take a Germane away from the battlefield, but one cannot take the battlefield away from the Germane..." he says to himself.

[Orm]

Searchlight walked up to the counter to talk to Ditzy. "Ditzy, is there a back room or something where we talk in private?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I should have been faster Clock. The twins lost their father. I could have saved him, but my injuries slowed us all down," he says despondently.

[CamoBadger]

"Sure, what's on your mind?" Ditsy asked as she led Searchlight to the back room of her store.

[Tytan]

"You were injured saving us all from those grenades." Clock nuzzles him, "You're lucky to be alive."

[Orm]

"You didn't happen to tell anyone else about Pinnacle did you?" He asked the mare.

[CamoBadger]

"No, of course not," Ditsy replied in a hurt tone. "I only told you... did you... tell your friends?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Lucky...sometimes I really wish I wasn't so damned 'lucky'," Charcoal says quietly, a mix of anger and sadness in his voice.

[Tytan]

Clock is shocked, "D-don't say that." She throws her hooves around his neck.

[Ketchup]

Quiver walks over to Charcoal and Clock.
"I-I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
