The innkeeper having pointed charcoal to the kitchen, the dark grey pony trots in and begins to prepare a meal for him and Clock. He slices up two of the pieces of meat into small strips. He puts them in the pot along with a little bit of seasoning and a few of the dried peppers. Charcoal sets the pot to simmer over the fire.

Cherry nods completely oblivious to the dirtsiders comment"Yup, y'all certainly don't. Ah'll have ta find a radio and see if ah can find the frequency my squad used when we were on patrol."

[Tytan]

"Wouldn't those be encrypted? If they weren't then a lot of ponies would be able to hear everything everyone up there was saying."

[Guest]

Cherry grins"Well, yes, but only the important stuff that ah wasn't gonna give y'all anyways. The frequency ah was gonna use, was one a pilot in my unit setup. It just played music, he found a way ta block the news since none of us wanted ta hear it."

[Tytan]

"That sounds interesting... I think they have a radio at the bar."

[Guest]

"Ah, guess ah could give it a shot, no promises thou gh. He had ta change it every once in a while since the Captain didn't like us messin with the radio but it should be on one.of the three he switched it to.

[Tytan]

"Worth a try." Clock goes to the barkeep, "Can we borrow your radio for a minute?"

[Tytan]

After the barpony passes them the radio Clock nudges it towards Cherry.

[Guest]

Cherry looks at the radio and starts messing with it."... Clouds are so much easier ta work with."she grumbles. After a few minutes she sighs after only hearing patchy static with the occasional lyric thrown in."Damn, the radio ain't strong enough. If only ah hadn't left my old one back home. "

[Tytan]

"I might be able to rig something up. Just need an old radio and some scrap electronics."

[Guest]

"If ya could that'd be nice it would save me a trip back ta Shad- or ah guess ah should say my house. Heh, still gotta get used ta sayin that."

[Tytan]

"I'll talk to Ditsy later. She might have something we can borrow."

[Guest]

"Worth, a shot ah 'spose. Well Ah'm gonna go check on Mr.Sunshine see yaround, Ms.Clockwork." She tips her hat, then goes off to find Shadow.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal trots out of the kitchen. "Hey Clock, I made something that I'd like you to try," he says to the mare.

[Tytan]

"Hey Char. What'd you make?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Well, I sorta bought a recipie book from Miss Doo a little while ago. I made some pepper pork steak. I hope you like spicy food," Charcoal says with a smile.

[Tytan]

"Sounds great. Can't wait to try it."

[XT Vengeance]

"It should be done in a moment, can you get us a table?" Charcoal asks the mare.

[Tytan]

"Uh... sure." Clock picks a table in one of the more secluded corners of the tavern.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal trots back to the kitchen and grabs two bowls from the shelf. He pours the food evenly between the two bowls and sets the pot to the side. He carries the two bowls back into the dining area and sets them on the table.

"I hope you like it," Charcoal say sitting down next to her.

[Tytan]

Clock spears a piece of steak with her fork. She thoughtfully chewed it savoring the new and exciting flavors. Then the spice started to hit her. At first it was a tingle, but it grew and grew until Clocks face was turning red and her nose started to run a little, "You weren't kidding about spicy."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal chuckles at her face ans passes his canteen to the mare. "Here. It really isn't that hot," he says with a grin.

[Tytan]

Clock takes the canteen and takes a few mouthfuls, "Spiciest thing I've ever eaten. I guess I haven't got much of a tolerance."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well, next time I'll put a lot less peppers in it. Can't have you melting your tongue off can we?"

[Tytan]

Clock laughs, but it feels like she was breathing fire, "I think I know why."

[XT Vengeance]

"Oh...well, I...uh...who else is going to try my cooking?" Charcoal stammers.

[Tytan]

"Don't know... Novae maybe?"

[XT Vengeance]

"But...I...you," Charcoal stammers. "You enjoy teasing me, don't you?"

[Tytan]

"Oh, sooo much."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal lets out a sigh. "I'm still new to all this," he says under his breath. "One of these days you won't be able to get to me like that," he says with a grin.
