"No, I never told anyone besides you," she assured him with a frown. "Who could have told him?"

"I don't know. Sorry for bothering you, Ditzy."He goes to leave but stops and turns to look at Ditzy. "Are you sure there isn't anyone else who might know anything about the Reapers?"

[CamoBadger]

"Any ghoul might, but I don't know if there are others around here."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal just gives Clock a look like she has no idea what he has been through. "Uh...no Quiver. Was there something you needed?"

[Ketchup]

"I just wanted to talk to you about the raiders. Do they usually do that to the settlements they attack? Drag off everyone, butcher and rape them?"
He says with anger not directed towards Charcoal.

[Tytan]

Clock lets go of Charcoal, "Not often, but it happens."

[Orm]

"Do you know anyone that might be able to tell us anything?Just something to give us a trail to follow?"

[XT Vengeance]

"They don't usually attack settlements that often, but they do do that to their captives. They are animals."

[CamoBadger]

"Um... I don't know..."

[Ketchup]

"I've come to see them as... monsters. Not even animals. Animals at least have reason for what they do. Where do these groups even come from? How could such individuals possibly work together?"

[Orm]

"Alright. Thanks, Ditzy." Searchlight said, before leaving Absolutely Everything and made his way to the tavern.

[Tytan]

"Primal instinct. Ponies can't handle being alone for too long. Maybe they just sense they're alike."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal sets the bag with their pay on the table and trots outside.

[Ketchup]

"Whatever it is, it happens and ponies should do all they can to prevent these groups from existing. I know I will."
Quiver pauses for a moment.
"Clock, what do you think of regenerating that mare's leg with Hydra? Is it worth the risk?"

[Tytan]

"I... considered it. But the risks outweigh the benefits. The stuff is basically Hydra squeezings. Stuff so full of taint your're almost guaranteed to start growing tumors. I don't use it unless I absolutely have to."

"Oh no. I had a feeling..." She starts to follow Charcoal before she turns around for a second, "Curiosity is healthy, just don't ask Charcoal about them."

Clock trots after Charcoal, "Char. Hun. He didn't know."

[Ketchup]

"Oh... sorry."
Quiver returns to his table.

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock, I know he doesn't. I just want some time alone, okay?" Charcoal says, not looking at his marefriend.

[Tytan]

"Are-are you sure?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Yeah...I need some time...to think," he says quietly.

[Tytan]

She starts to protest but it dies in her throat, "But... Okay."

Clock starts to walk away but after a few steps she can't move her hooves anymore. Her voice is soft, but audible, "No."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal turns to face Clockwork. "What? Why...why not?" he asks her, confused.

[Tytan]

She turns back around, strength filling her voice, "I'm not going to leave you alone, because you shouldn't be alone." She trots closer to him and looks him in the eye, "I'm not going to leave you alone because I know you've seen awful things, and everyone has their breaking point." Tears start to form in her eyes, anger creeping into her voice, "I'm not leaving you alone because I don't want you to kill yourself... not again!"

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock I...what...what do you mean again?" he asks quietly.

[Tytan]

Clock covers her mouth with a hoof. Horrified and angry at herself. She hastily tries to dismiss it, "I-I-I it's nothing. Nothing at all."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal grabs the mare by her hoof and leads her to the counter. He places 90 caps on the counter and leads the mare upstairs to their room. "Sit." he tells her pointing to the bed, before closing and locking the door.

"Clock...I...talk to me," he says, momentarily forgetting his own troubles.

[Tytan]

Clock sat on the bed, but she didn't talk. She sat there fighting back tears until she finally lost and started crying, "My-my mom... She was- she was diagnosed with cancer. My Dad did the tests himself. The treatments were too expensive. We couldn't afford them, even with me working at the clinic. My mom... she was to proud. She didn't want to die like that. She didn't want to die a burden. So she... so she..." Clock breaks down sobbing.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal climbs up onto the bed next to Clock and holds he in his hooves. "It..It'll be alright," he whispers to her trying to calm the mare. Internally he is kicking himself even more, hating himself for making her cry.

[Tytan]

Clock continues to sob but she returns the embrace. "Just p-please. Don't leave me. I don't want you to die."
