Charcoal slowly walks up to Quiver. "Shouldn't you let the mare's have that mattress?" he asks. "Being comfortable is the last thing you want when keeping watch."

"Yeah, you're right. Let's go get some more mattresses for everyone... I'm just... tired... but I can't sleep. Not now."
Quiver trots towards another shack and looks for more unsoiled mattresses.

[Endurance 4 (10-1)]Charcoal pushes the mattress inside for the mares, despite his injuries. He walks back outside and sits down.

Having plenty of energy, Cast Iron decides to go on watch. He trots just outside the bar and lays down against the wall, away from the entrance. He draws his rifle and keeps it at the ready.

"Cast, go get some sleep. Quiver and I have this for now."

[Ironmonger]

"Are you absolutely sure? I still have a ton of energy to burn, being half cybernetic and all."

[Tytan]

"Cast, why don't you go collect mattress'..." Clock looks at the mares and then back to Cast, "Make sure they're clean."

"Good point." he says. "I'll go get some more mattresses but I cannot promise zat zey vill be clean." he says as he gets up and walks off towards the shacks.

Shadow sits next to Charcoal"Get some sleep. Yer hurt. And Ah'm more in my element now then y'all are so ah'll take watch."

"Then I'll wake you for the second shift," Charcoal says to the stallion.

"Don't work that way, Tex, ah'm stayin ain't nothin' ya can do bout it"He says flatly."So, ya best get used ta my company."

"Then don't try to tell me to go to sleep," Charcoal says flatly. "And I can see better in the dark, anyways."

"uh huh, sure ya can. Whatever ya got can't beat one of Luna's chosen."

[Scan for Weakness]Charcoal turns to face Shadow, his left pupil glowing red. A red light plays over Shadow, showing Charcoal every detail of his armor in infra-red vision.

"So you have Infra-red vision then? Because I do."

"Don't need it fer me it's as bright as day. It's a perk of being an umbramancer."

Mincemeat walks over, "An Umbra-What?"

Charcoal looks at mince, his left eye still glowing blood red in the dark. He frowns and shakes his head before getting up and walking to a different building to lean on.

[Ketchup]

Quiver finishes dragging a few mattresses in to the bar.
"Those should be more comfortable..."
He walks outside and stands watch, slightly struggling to stay awake.

Tired from the whole day of travelling and in no mood to investigate the talking going on outside, Searchlight laid his head on the counter and slept.

Scorch swoops down next to charcoal and leans against him. "Kaw?"

"I'll be fine. I've been through worse, you know that."

"Squawk. Squwakity kaw kakaw squawk," Scorch chides.

"Well...you have a point. Fine, I'll lay here and get some rest, but you need to keep watch, alright?"

"Squawk!" Scorch salutes.

Charcoal lays down on the ground and next to his best friend and slowly drifts off into sleep.

"Shadow magic."he states as he continues to watch the perimeter

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron comes stomping back with a few mattresses in his magic and sets them down on the floor of the bar. He walks back outside and gets comfortable by a wall away from the doorway.

"You remind me of a cat. You're quiet, Function well in the dark, and are passive-agressive."

He shrugs, "Well, maybe you're less angry, and more grumpy. So a grumpy cat, really." He pats Shadow on the shoulder, "If I ever find one, I'll name it after you."

"Whatever."he says as his tendrils sink into the ground and expand.

Clock picked one of the beds that Quiver and Cast brought in for everyone. She laid down on her side with her hoof supporting her head.

She stared at the door, waiting for Charcoal to finish his watch. Slowly exhaustion overtook her and she drifted to sleep.

It's your fault.

Clock stood on top of a hill with a single leafless tree. The wind blew gently causing her mane to flutter in her face. She held a knife with a severely dulled blade.

It's your fault.

At her hooves was a head sized stone with two words carved into it.

It's your fault.

The ground open up beneath her. She fell. And fell. And fell.

It's your fault.

She finally hit ground. She lay broken, bleeding, and terrified.

It's your fault.

Bodies rose out of the ground around her. A unicorn who lost his leg to a prewar mine. A gryphon who lost half his face to a shotgun. An earth pony covered in bleeding sores.

It's your fault.

They tear into her prone body with whatever they had. Hooves, horns, and claws tore chunks from her flesh.

It's your fault.

In a single voice they screamed.

IT'S YOUR FAULT WE'RE DEAD.
