makes having a doctor outside of the bloody combat useless. okay question then perhaps an effectiveness increase or something for high enough medicine skill, it does that in game and I really feel useless right now...

No. It fully heals it regardless, I'm not going to deal with figuring out how x skill makes a character better with y item.

Yes, they will be. Those with high lockpick have only had a few chances to use it, and same with high science and repair. If I make it so high medical gives extra bonuses, then I have to figure out how to balance that crap with every skill, and I already have enough to deal with in this RP as well as in my actual life. So no, I will not be making up a bunch of extra numbers for higher skills, because I already spent a couple hundred hours thinking up the rules I have in place and running this game.

Hey its totally fair that way. I may not like it, but I can suck it up an deal with it. So I put all my skills in a dump stat first... I will be more useful in some aspects than others for a starts, but as long as i can level up and dodge, I will catch up and be useful when the time comes...
