No. They are really nothing alike. Charcoal won't be able to speak to the other animals. Besides, Scorch is a phoenix. They are very long lived, and intelligent.

I don't know why but I can just hear the difference in tone and length of the sounds Scorch makes when talking to Charcoal, and Charcoal would be a poor partner to not pick up on most of them by now.
