"We're almost done," Painkiller has already pulled out his tools from the wound when he sensed the wince coming. "Hold her down and I'll get it out then close her up."

Painkiller takes a breath then braces his joints aside from the ones with the grips and the probe to help hold her knee in place. He grips the bullet and pulls it out, wriggling it out of the harder tissues issuing little damage. "A 9 mil she's lucky, should have shattered her knee, probably did if it weren't for the stimpak." He tosses the spent bullet onto the floor when he realizes it is indeed whole.

With the hard part out of the way, Painkiller carefully rinses the wound in alcohol, making sure the bullet hole floods slightly. Then, he rinses the alcohol out with the healing potion, the tissues begin to react almost immediately. Carefully and quickly he changes out the tools on his wings to include more clamps as he pulls the ends of the incision together, his grips manipulating a suture to close the wound. When it's closed, he rinses it again with alcohol then the potion. He wraps the knee in a bandage and carefully pours the rest of the potion down Cherry's throat, bidding her "drink."



Painkiller breathes a sigh of relief when he finished the last portion of securing the bandage. He backs away, his tools wet with blood. His sweat pores have been fucked up since he was burned, but he knew he must have sweat a bit. using the last of the water/alcohol mix, he cleans his tools before storing them away.

"I've done all I can do. the rest, well, its up to her, but i doubt she'll have much difficulty. The paralytic effect is wearing off and the Anesthetic is done." He pulls up the last of the Med-X and applies it to her, "This will prevent her from feeling any soreness while the potion finishes up her healing process. She will feel out of it until she processes the alcohol, make sure she drinks water when she wakes up. Now, about our business."

Shadow nods"Okay, just give me a sec."He looks at Cherry"Ah'll be right, back, okay? Ah just gotta talk ta the doc."He quickly kisses her forehead.

Cherry weakly nods and smiles

He smiles back, then gets up and goes over to painkiller"Right, so, lets get this over with shall we?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Yes let's." Painkiller moves out to the room next door, the same room he has been sharing with Cast Iron for the last few days.

He lifts his chin.

Shadow follows Painkiller into the room and looks at him, he sighs"What are ya doin'? Ah ain't gonna hurt ya. Look ah'm sorry, ah was just well, pissed off.*Chuckles*Ya were right though, she's a tough one. Can't believe ah forgot she could handle herself."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller does not lower his chin, "You understand something then. One can't just pump a chem and expect everything to come out peachy keen."

He lowers his gaze his chin turning level, "Never doubt Enclave mares. I thought Stallion training was hard until I was allowed to observe female training when I made First Lieutenant. They don't have Drill Sergeants. Every Platoon has at least three Drill Instructors." He smiles at the memory. He remembers seeing his wife for the first time. She was such a bitch.

"I know you have no clue what that means, but know that it takes a lot of heart for a mare to make it through that."

Painkiller can only extend his hoof to Shadow.

"Yeah, ah guess ah do now. She's just all ah got left, so ah worry 'bout her Ah'm sure ya can understand that."He takes Painkillers hoof"Yeah, ah'll take yer word fer it on the trainin', but ah know she has a lot of heart. She puts up with me fer Luna's sake. Ya know, ya ain't so bad doc. Kind of an asshole, but then again who isn't right?"He smirks

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"One can't go through life without taking a shit." Painkiller shakes and lets their hooves drop, "Sometimes you end-up shitting on ponies along the way."

"Okay lets see if Blossom is a little more coherent." Painkiller moves back to Shadow and Cherry's shared room.

He pulls out his water canteen. "Drink this slowly."

Cherry nods and takes the canteen, she drinks the water slowly.

Shadow takes a seat next to Cherry"feelin' any better?"

She nods"Y-yeah, ah'm startin' ta feel better."She looks at Painkiller"Thanks again, doc."she takes another drink of water.

"Yeah, thanks, uh do ya want me ta pay back fer the room?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"No you both rest easy tonight." Painkiller smirks and leans in to Cherry and whispers,

"Cherry Blossom":

Painkiller smiles a little, reminded again of his wife. "You two play nice now. No hanky-panky, I mean it." He leaves the room and pays the innkeeper for Cherry and Shadow's room.

He then closes himself off in his own room and weeps silently, unable to take remembering his wife anymore. He wanted to forget the clouds and life up there. He's done with that life, stuck on the ground and all he has left is what he's learned and the ponies he's met. He eventually falls asleep on the bed.

Cherry blushes at what Painkiller whispers then she looks at Shadow then back to Painkiller and nods sheepishly."O-okay, doc, W-will do."

Shadow chuckles"Okay, doc, we'll keep our hooves ta ourselves tonight."
Once Painkiller leaves, he lays down next to Cherry.

"So, ya were uh, worried sick?"

"Yeah, ah was."

"But why? We go on bounties all the time."

"Ah don't know, ah just was. We don't take on forces like that. Maybe a small group of folks, but nothin' like that. Ah...Ah was just scared that somethin' bad would happen ta ya, and ah'd lose ya..."

"Shadow, that wouldn't of happened, ah can handle myself just fine. Ya should know that."

"Ah know ya can, ah just... Ah just didn't wanna lose then only pony ah care 'bout. Ah don't wanna know what ah'd become if ya weren't around, Blossom. Just the thought scares me..."He hugs her tightly

She sighs"Shadow, ya probably already know that those 'orders' were bull right?"

"Yeah, Painkiller already said somethin' 'bout that."

She looks down"Figures,*sigh*Ah'm sorry ah lied ta ya, but we had ta go. Fer yer sake, love, it was so ya could try ta move past what happen ta yer home."

"That mare certainly didn't help."

"Did she look like ya know?"

"No, not quite. But close enough ta sis ta count."He nuzzles her"But now ah understand why ya wanted ta go and ah do appreciate it."

"Ya do? Well, then ah guess it wasn't all bad now was it?"

"No, ah guess not."He cuddles closer to her

"So, does that mean ah was, right?"

He chuckles"Yeah, ah guess it does, just like always."

She gives him a kiss"Yup, and don't forget it."

"Ah won't."He chuckles"Ah love ya, Blossom."

"Ah love ya too, Shadow. Even if ya are a bit stubborn at times."

He chuckles"Then how's 'bout ah make it up ta ya?"

"Ah don't know, doc said ah shouldn't exert myself..."She says playfully

"Well, then just relax and ah'll take care of everythin', unless ya just wanna lay here like this. Ah don't mind either way."

She pretends to think about it"Okay, maybe just a few more minutes like this. Then we can have a little fun."She smirks

"That's fine with me, love. That's perfectly fine with me."He kisses down her neck.

Painkiller wakes to the sound of a bed rocking next door, he aims carefully and pierces the wall in two places. The ends of his wings are spaced perfectly to hook the bedposts and he shakes their bed. "NO HANKY PANKY!" He roars before pulling the ends of his tools back to his side and going to sleep again.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

It's morning, Painkiller wakes from a rather fitful sleep. He makes his way down from his room, and blearily steps blinking into the sight of Old Appaloosa,.

[Katarn]

Novae sits on the doorstep of Inn, looking somewhere in distance.

Jayne meanwhile sleeping in room somewhere inside.

Painkiller's mechanical eyes finish adjusting their input/output ratios and he comes to focus on the zebra mare. He looks off in the direction she's staring then back to her when he sees nothing of interest, and waves a hoof across her vision.

Painkiller's action didn't cause anything, Novae didn't even blink, like if she was sleeping with open eyes.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller looks around again and pulls out his surgical marker, he begins to draw a mustache on the mare.

[Katarn]

"That tickles, you know that?" Novae said, without any move, except her muzzle.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller pulls back for a second in surprise, "Hold still, I'm almost done." He replies from around the marker. With a small flourish he finishes the mustache and puts his marker away.

"There, now you need a monocle and top hat." He gives a slight nod.

[Katarn]

"Indeed." Novae blinks few times, then moves her nose as if there was something on it, except painted moustache. "Do I know you from somewhere?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"I've only just met you, but I do believe we've seen each other around from time to time. Odd that we've never actually talked before now." Painkiller pops for a moment of inspiration, "You're with the Griffon Jayne correct?"

[Katarn]

"Mhm...I might use his alcohol stash now, because of you though...my name is Novae, by the way."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Doctor Painkiller." He replies. "Honestly, I would keep the mustache were I you. Makes for an interesting conversation starter."

[Katarn]

"I'd mustache you a question about why I should do that, but I'll shave it for later." Novae reply with grin.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller makes a small snort at the mare's joke. "You and I are going to get along pretty well kid. What were you staring at anyway?"

[Katarn]

"I was thinking...then I fell asleep..I think. Happens to me from time to time. It's quiet here..."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Ah, a habit common of zebra. Their predators can't tell if they are awake or sleeping. Evolutionary."

Painkiller's stomach rumbles.

"Join me Breakfast?"

[Katarn]

"Yeah..right...habit..." She looks at Painkiller. "Though I don't mind some breakfast."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Alright then, to the bar!" Painkiller's stomach growls again. They head off for the bar.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal slowly awakes, Clockwork sleeping peacefully in his hooves. He can't help but have a smile on his face as he nuzzles the mare. "Clock...wake up," he whispers into her ear. "It's time to go get some breakfast."

Clock replies blearily as though she isn't exactly awake, "No you."
