"Alright, thanks. We'll take this to the Inn." Painkiller gulps both audibly and visibly. "Don't suppose you have anything to put her under with or a paralytic would you?"

Searchlight followed the Shadow and Cherry to the Klinik. Not feeling like it's his business to be there, he decides to wait outside the front door.

[Ironmonger]

He chuckles at the hint of pride in her voice. "It does seem like a nice town from vat I have seen so far. I have vandered from place to place trying to use my skills to help ozers, but...I might consider making zis town my home. It is nice here, people are friendly. I still get strange looks, but can vun blame zem?" he chuckles and playfully makes a flexing pose with his right hoof.

Clot sighed. "Look, I've got one vial of Lidocaine you can use on her...just...please make sure it's worth it. It's all I have left."

Cinnamon chuckled lightly at Cast's display. "Yeah, you're a little bigger than what most of us are used to. And that accent is a little new too." She smiled. "Not that it's a bad thing."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Alright, thank you, I can work with that." Painkiller soaks in the phial for a moment, "You are an angel. Please take care of yourself Blood Clot." He thinks it's his last moments. he doesn't love the mare, but she's earned his respect.

"Alright, klinik is full, we have to move on to the Inn. I doubt the bar or the Guard house will be as accommodating." He moves to pick Cherry up. "Shadow, she should not be walking. It'll only make things more difficult for her. Either on your back or between the two of us, my cybernetics can keep her in place."

Painkiller knows it would be too much to presume Shadow would be okay with him carrying her alone even if his wings would keep her in place better. It's not like he did not see Cherry hovering close to Shadow without putting her hooves on the ground all the way back to Old Appaloosa.

"Ah can carry'er no problem."

Cherry floats onto his back.

"Lets go doc, Ah'll cover the room. Oh, and doc, thanks fer goin' out yer way ta do this..."He starts to walk to the Inn.

[Ironmonger]

He raises an eyebrow. "Not a bad zing?" he said with a trace of a smirk. "I suppose zeh accent does make me stand out." He clears his throat. "Die Stute ich rede hat schöne Augen."

[CamoBadger]

Cinnamon chuckled. "That's new too. Not very often you here anything other than Equestrian out here." She paused to take a drink of her beer. "What does it mean?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"It's never out of my way." Painkiller replies, he opens the door and enters to Inn, no sign of panic or hesitation. He's on a mission.

"There'll be two staying in a room. You'll guarantee absolute privacy without disturbance. Here's fifty caps to ensure this bargain." Painkiller slides fifty caps on top of the room rental fee, then makes his way to the room.

Once inside he rips the covers off the mattress and then the mattress itself is flipped. many a creepy crawly seeps its way out when he does so. "If I had my laser, I could run it at low and kill most contaminants without destroying the mattress."

"Lay the patient here," Pinkiller begins to sanitize his equipment and then sanitizes his own apertures and hooves and before offering the bottle to Shadow, Painkiller begins to soak the sheets with a mixture of alcohol and water and elevates the knee. "Keep your hooves as clean as possible once you've sanitized, do not touch the floor."

He carefully makes his way to the bedside carrying the lidocaine, med-x, a single small potion, the last of the rum and his sanitized doctor's bag. "Cherry, I'm going to start soon, you may, or may not feel some discomfort. I will be honest, i don't know how long it'll be before the anesthetic wears off. You may wake up unable to move, that's normal, if you do wake up before we've finished, refrain from moving. It will cause complications. Shadow will be here every step of they way."

[Ironmonger]

He smirks a little. "It translates as 'Zeh mare I am talking to has pretty eyes." he takes a drink of his beer. "It is zeh truth."

[CamoBadger]

"Oh." She blushed a little and smiled. "Thank you."

[Guest]

"O-okay, Ah'll try my best not ta move if ah wake up doc."

Shadow sets her down where Painkiller said, then sanitizes his hooves once he sits next to Cherry, keeping his fore hooves off the ground."Ready, sweetheart?"

She nods"Y-yeah, as ah'm gonna be."She smiles weakly.

He smiles"It's gonna be all right, ah promise."He looks at Painkiller"Whenever yer ready, doc."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Okay," painkiller administers the lidocaine with a syringe, "Let me know when you lose sensation to your knee."

Painkiller carefully rubs a hoof on the afflicted knee. Spreading the Lidocaine, and painfully testing for the local anesthesia's effectiveness.

After a minute Cherry looks up to see Painkiller still touching her knee"Ah'm not feelin' anythin' doc, looks like the stuff works."

[Ironmonger]

He smiles at her. "Germane isn't too different from Equish and is more straight-forward, but it does take a little longer to learn. Ve vere even taught Prench and some Cossack." She really does have pretty eyes... he thought to himself. "I get zeh impression that education is not too common out here. I do not mean zat as a remark towards anyvun, it just seems like zere is a lack of books and ozer such zings." he said honestly.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Good," Painkiller measures out some of the rum for her, "You have to drink this in one go, it'll burn a bit but as soon as you finish, I'll give you the Med-X it should put you out and paralyze you."
[Medicine 60 rolls 9] When Cherry finishes her tot, Painkiller immediately puts a measure of med-X in a vein to go straight to her brain and kill all sensation. It'll effectively knock her out and once the alcohol kicks in, even if she recovers, she won't be able to move.

"Shadow, you need to keep an eye on her heart rate and watch her eyes." Painkiller says as he closes her eye lids, "If they start moving at a rapid rate, almost like she is panic in, it means she has regained consciousness, i hope to be wrapping up by then. If either thing spikes, let me know immediately. I'll try to do what i can to finish rapidly. You will have to speak to her, keep her attention. Understand?"

[CamoBadger]

"Yeah, learning is a bit lower on the totem pole than surviving out here," she admitted. "But I don't think it's too bad. I try to grab as many books as I can find, but most of them are almost impossible to read from damage." She took another drink of her beer. "Were they more common where you're from?"

[Guest]

Shadow nods"Yeah, ah understand. Ah'll tell ya if anythin' happens, doc."He starts watching Cherry, waiting for the surgery to start Ah'm sorry Blossom, ah shoulda done somethin' better so ya didn't get like this...

[Orm]

Not having much else to do Searchlight made his way to the inn and pays the 50 caps for a room. He goes up to his room and momentarily catches his reflection in a mirror. He walks over to it and turns it so that it faces the wall, he then tries to go to sleep.

"Very. Germaneigh vas hit by zeh Zebras too but a quarter of zeh country is still fully functional and capable of printing. Venever I had a break I vould spend my time in zeh library since zere vasn't much else to do outside of missions. My favorite zings to read about vere books on engineering and history."

[CamoBadger]

"That sounds nice," the mare told him with a grin before finishing off her beer. "Anything else you do in your free time?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller recognizes the look on Shadow's face, "If you can't keep your head on straight, then get out. This isn't about you or me, it's all her. There is no room for anything else. Now, I'm going to begin."

Painkiller pulls out the shaving razor and removes all fur from the knee area, then marks his incision points with the medical pen. The scalpel is adjusted and attached to the end on one of his appendages, the same is done to a clamp, two grips, a probe and dental a mirror. He begins his operation.

After several minutes of careful incisions and shifting of soft tissues, the entry path is found. "Yeah, the new tissues just grew around the bullet."

"Shadow, I am going to have to dig real close to the bone, she may feel that. Be on your guard."

Shadow shakes his head and focuses on Cherry"Right, sorry, doc."he listens to what Painkiller and nods"Okay, ah will, sir. Just do what ya gotta."

[Ironmonger]

"Not much-" he stopped midsentence as he caught the last part of what she said. "...Did you have somezing in mind?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller gets to the harder tissues, feeling around for something that isn't bone, meniscus, or ligament. He taps his target. "Okay i've found it, It's mushroomed a bit but once we get it out, a small application of disinfectants and healing potion will close up the area."

Painkiller carefully works the probe to make his entry easier. He brushes both the bones in the joint shifting their cartilage.

[CamoBadger]

The mare chuckled. "No, I was just wondering." She looked out the window, then back to Iron. "Um, sorry to cut this off, but I have to get home. I have a job to finish up for someone, sorry." She stood up from the bar and moved to leave, but turned back. "Why don't you come by the shop tomorrow? I'll see if I can dig up some old books or something for us to read," she suggested with a warm smile.

[Ironmonger]

He got up from his seat."Vill do. Until next time, Miss Cinnamon." He gave a polite bow.

[CamoBadger]

The mare smiled. "See you tomorrow then," Cinnamon told him warmly and trotted out into the night to head home.

As the surgery progresses Cherry starts to wince, and discomfort can be seen on her face

Shadow notices and puts a hoof on her shoulder, being careful not to disturb Painkiller"Shhh, sweetie, it's all right. Ah'm right here, ah ain't goin' anywhere."He whispers to her, then looks up to painkiller"Uh, doc, ah think she's awake...'

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron smiled warmly as she left. He left a cap on the counter as a tip for the barkeeper and he trotted out the door to the Inn.
