i did not obtain any useful loot, aside from eve's future dinner perhaps someone should pick up some of that pony meat

I healed the ghoul rather I administered a medx that I did pay caps for to make it so he could still partcipate in the fight without suffering the effects of a crippled chest not that it was needed with everyones good rolls

anyway painkiller now has a melee weapon in a shovel

Well it's a chem in that you can become addicted to it in the fallout games.
