Shadow and Cherry enter the plant

[Quest Accepted: Kill That Asshole!] - Kill Pipe Cleaner in the Water Treatment Plant so the worker can get his job back.


@Cherry and Shadow: The plant is decrepit, but a few lights are glowing in the windows. You can see shadows of ponies moving around inside. The door is unlocked and propped open. When you enter, you find two ponies working on the machines who each cast you a strange glance before returning to their work. The inside of the building is filled with pipes and grates that open into a sewer system, but you cannot see a rat anywhere.



Hearing the angry shouts of Jayne, the swarm splits in half- 5 going for the griffin, 5 staying on the Brahmin.
[5 vs Brahmin: 19 (4+4=8 damage), 2, 12 (7 damage), 2, 10 (8 damage)] Only three bites get through the hide this time, and the Brahmin screams out in pain as it falls to it's side, kicking wildly in panic. (23 damage total: Brahmin has 15/75 HP remaining)

[5 vs Jayne: 15 (9 damage), 15 (2 damage), 7, 3, 10 (7 damage)] Three of the sprites latch onto Jayne's exposed body, their teeth digging into him and drawing streams of blood. (18 damage total: Jayne has 82/100 HP remaining)

Shadow sighs"This is gonna take awhile..."

Cherry takes off her cap and undoes her bun. And walks over to a worker[Charisma 7 (7+2)]"Hello sir, Ah was just wonderin' if ya might of seen a rat run by here?"She asks sweetly and bats her eyelashes.

Shadow stands quietly

The worker turns around and stares at Cherry strangely. "No, I haven't seen no rat."

The other worker turned quickly and pointed to the floors. "I've heard some scratching and shuffling in the sewer today. Maybe it went in there."

[Orm]

Searchlight entered the water treatment plant.
Upon entering he notices two ponies talking to Shadow and Cherry.
Not seeing anyone else, he decides to keep his distance and wait for them to finish talking before doing anything.

[Katarn]

"Ow, fucking OW!"
[d20: 20] "Eat this!"
[AGIL: 6+3=9] Quickly reloads.
[d20: 8] "And you!"
Places next round into the barrel.
[d20: 17] "And you!"

Cherry smiles at the workers"Thank ya ever so much gentlecolts. If ya know anythin' else, please tell me. Ah need ta find my little sister's rat."She nods then starts to make her to the sewers.

Shadow follows her.

Seeing that Shadow and Cherry were done talking and leaving, Searchlight decided now would probably be a good time to speak to the worker.
"Excuse me. Do you know where I can find Pipe Cleaner?"
He asked once he reached the two ponies.

[Quest Update: 3/10 Bloatsprites Killed]

As three sprites fall, the others all resume their attacks, not bothering to change targets.
[5 vs Brahmin: 14 (6 damage), 16 (6+6=12 damage), 11 (7 damage), 7, 7] The sprites bite back into the brahmin, bringing the beast to it's final moments and tearing them away. (Total damage= 25 damage. Brahmin has died)

[2 vs Jayne: 7, 20 (2+6=8 damage)] Only one of the two Sprites still attacking Jayne manages to find a hold, biting deep into his wing at the joint.((roll to save from crippling)) (8 damage: Jayne has 74/100 HP left)


One of the two workers turned to Searchlight, flinching slightly at the sight of the ghoul. "Uh, yeah, that's me..."

[Orm]

"Mind if I have a word with you. Preferably in private."

[Guest]

Shadow walks over to the sewer grate and takes a look[perception 9 (2+4)]

Cherry smiles "see anythin' love?"

[CamoBadger]

"Uh...sure," Pipe replied, unsure. He looked over to his boss, who nodded, and trotted to the small cubicle set up at the back of the room. "So...what do you need?"


Shadow sees a black body dash through the sewer right beneath them and out of sight.

[Katarn]

Sees and Brahmin lets out his last breath.
[d20: 20] "No bonuses, I assume, because of you, fuckers!" He grabs bloatsprite, that was biting him and smashes him in the ground.
[AGIL: 10+3=13]
[d20: 9] Then Jayne catches other one and crushes him with his claw.
[d20:7] He rises his shotgun to shoot bloatsprites, that killed Brahmin, but misses.

[Guest]

"Well, there's certainly somethin' down there."He looks at he grate."Blossom, mind askin'em if they know a way down there."

"Yup will do."Cherry walks back into the main room"Um, excuse me sir, ya know how ah can get inta the sewers? Ah think ah saw my sis's rat."

[Orm]

Searchlight followed Pipe Cleaner into the cubicle.
Upon entering he give Pipe Cleaner a serious look.
"Listen to me and listen carefully. Someone has been hired to kill you, I don't know what you did for someone to want you dead, but I need you to cooperate if you don't want to die."

[Quest Update: 5/10 Bloatsprites Killed]

(Cripple Roll: 9 - wing crippled, flight disabled) As Jayne pulled the attached sprite from his wing, its tooth gashed a tendon, dropping his wing limply to his side.
The final 5 sprites finally turn on Jayne, not wanting to risk eating while someone is still shooting them.
[5 vs Jayne: 4, 12 (4 damage), 6, 13 (3 damage), 8 (10 damage)] Three of the sprites find a spot to grab and tear at the griffin. (Total= 17 damage: Jayne has 57/100HP left)

The Plant's boss turns to Cherry and nods. "Just lift up the grate and jump on in. I'll leave it open until you get back."


Pipe Cleaner's eyes shot wide at the news. "Still? He's still trying to kill me?" he shook his head. "I hoped he would stop after the sheriff threw him in that cage."

[Orm]

"Still? How long has this been going on for exactly?
And who's the guy that's been trying to get you killed?"

[Guest]

"Thank ya sir."She does a curtsy then walks back to Shadow"Just lift it up and go in, the boss says he'll leave it open."

Shadow opens the grate then jumps in. He does a quick look around[perception 9 (6+4)]

[CamoBadger]

"Ever since I got hired three weeks ago," Pipe replied. "I just wanted to get away from my Mom and Dad in Tenpony and work in water treatment like I did back home. I didn't expect it to get me killed..."


The sewer runs 2 ways, but one is a dead end directly behind them. Just ahead is a fork to turn either right or left. Shadow notices some ripples coming from the right fork.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron looks around the town and takes in the sights, trying to mentally draw a map for himself, knowing that despite his efforts he will forget. "I think I'll just head to the gunshop for now." he says to himself.

[Guest]

"Hmm, Blossom follow me looks like we got somethin' movin' along the right path in that fork."

Cherry floats down and hovers just above him"All right, ah got yer back."

Shadow nods and heads down the path

[Katarn]

His wing now causes a lot of pain.
"I'm gonna destroy you!"
[d20 6] From pain, caused by all injuries he got his shot misses entirely.
[Agil: 7+3=10]
[d20 15] One of bloatsprites been too close to Jayne and to own death. Jayne's shot tears bloatsprite apart.
[d20 2] But second shot misses target by the mile.

[Orm]

"Alright, I'm going to have a word with your boss.
If things go well these bounties put on you will hopefully end."
He leaves the cubicle and walks up to the boss.
"Excuse me, mind if I ask about one of your former workers who claims Pipe Cleaner replaced him?"

[Quest Update: 6/10 Bloatsprites killed]

[4 vs Jayne: 13 (8 damage), 7, 13 (8 damage), 10 (9 damage)] Three of the four remaining sprites dive in to attack, chomping into the bleeding griffin wherever they can. (Total= 25 damage: Jayne has 32/100HP left)


Around the corner, Shadow and Cherry see the rat chasing a radroach around the next turn.

"That prick Plumber's Crack?" the boss shakes his head. "He was useless, I was more than happy to replace him. And then he had the nerve to put out a bounty on my new guy!"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Doctor Painkiller has stayed with Cast Iron, he surveys the Town [Perception is 5 + 1(claustrophobia) rolls 6]

"Lets see what we can see shall we?" Painkiller says in Germane.

[Orm]

"Thank you for telling me that.
Where exactly would I find him now?"

[Guest]

"Blossom ah think we found our rat."He follows the rat

"Yup, hopefully that's Winky."She follows Shadow

"No kiddin'."

[Katarn]

[d20 9] Jayne starts singing some song, as bloatsprite explodes.
[Agil:7+3=10]
[d20 17] Next bloatsprite dies from extensive amount of Jayne's shotgun's butt to the body.
[d20 16] This one Jayne sends away flying and spilling his guts all over the place by powerful hit with his fist.

"I would assume he's still in the prison at the center of town, you probably saw it," the pony pointed out.


Cherry and Shadow round the corner to see Winky eating the Radroach.


[Quest Update: 9/10 Bloatsprites killed]

[1 vs Jayne: 5] The last sprite dives in and bites down, but misses completely and frowns. (Jayne still has 32/100HP left)

[Katarn]

[d20 15] Jayne finishes last bloatsprite from his pistol.
Exhales deeply. "I need a drink...or two."
Looks for a while at all the mess around, then turns to the city and starts hobble back.
