"Ah, yes, Good Viktor." He wipes part of the ghoul's icky fleshy-skin that came off when he touched it off on his robe, "Why did you bring it here, exactly?"

"Viktor think odd. Think be important."

Dr. Octo turns back to the group. "Hey! Everyone, I do think that pony has the right idea! You can chat while we find shelter or something!"

[Ironmonger]

Realization hits Cast. "Varmachine and...zhat ozher pony has zeh right idea. Let's not be idiots."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal finishes cleaning his rifle, and puts away the kit. He trots back to the group, looking for Searchlight. He finds the ghoul sitting off to one side of the camp.

"Hey, Searchlight was your name, right?"

[Tytan]

Clock lets out an exacerbated sigh, "Fine, let's go. Come on Vik."

Viktor grabs the body by its neck and follows Clock.

((@Octo's Spot Check: You see a faint glimmer of lights in the distance, probably a town of some kind, North of you. Other than that, you notice a few small rock formations around, as well as an abandoned shack maybe big enough for 3 ponies about 400 meters East from your position. The flaming Fiddler's Hoof is South of you.))

"Yeah. Charcoal, right?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Yeah. I wanted to ask if you knew that other ghoul. Just want to make sure," he says with an easy smile.

[Orm]

"Can't say that I knew him. Never seen him until tonight.
You don't think I had anything to do with this do you?"

[XT Vengeance]

"No, I didn't. I just wanted to make sure you didn't know him. Never hurts to have somepony else who can vouch for you," he says with a smile.

[Orm]

"Oh, thanks."
Searchlight leans against the rock and looks at the burning camp in the distance.
"What do you all that was about?"

[Aonee]

"Okay, there's some shed up north, and I think there's a town further on. The shed isn't nearly enough to hold all of us, so we should probably continue on towards the town."
Crusher begins walking in the indicated direction.

[Guest]

"I'd rather not stay in a flimsy shack with them so close."

[XT Vengeance]

"We should stick with the others," he says, noticing some of the group beginning to leave. "No, I really don't have any idea. I'm not exactly from around here anyways."

"Squawk."

"Scorch says he can't think of anything either."

[Orm]

"Yeah, we should go."
Searchlight gets up and follows the group.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron walks towards the town as well. He turns his head in the general direction of the others and notices them still chatting. Beginning to become irritated, he calls out. "Are you all going to stand around or are we going to find shelter?" As he walks away his thoughts begin to drift. "Now, vhat I am zhinking is zhat our assailants come from some sort of well-equipped mercenary group or zeh like." he says to no one in particular. "Vell-trained too, raiders vould not have the knowledge or skill to operate artillery. Maybe rocket artillery, but not zeh kind I have seen." He looked towards the ground, deep in thought as he walked.

[Scyto Harmony]

"Oh no, no one offer to assist the injured pony!" He mumbles as he pops open one of his healing potions and drinks it, before stumbling after the others.

[MrMagma]

Eve takes flight and follows the others from above, blood dripping from her injured foreleg onto the others. "Does it really matter who they were? They bleed and die the same as anyone else."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal sees Clock walking with the group and thinks about trying to talk to her. He shares his head and continues walking next to the ghoul unicorn.

"So, what brings you to desert?" he asks Searchlight.

[Ironmonger]

Cast glances up at the pegasus. "It pays to know who is shooting at you."

[Orm]

"I was heading to New Appleloosa."
He looks at Charcoal while still walking.
"What about you?"

[MrMagma]

"That's why I try and make a habit of not being shot at. It makes things easier." She pauses for a moment, looking back at the burning settlement. "Evidently, it's easier said than done."

[XT Vengeance]

"I don't really know at the moment. I just like to wander sometimes, and I felt like seeing something new."

[Orm]

"Understandable. Shame you couldn't see things before all of this. Of course this place always looked awful. There were a few nice things to see on occasion though."

[Ironmonger]

Cast thinks for a moment, then sighs. "I suppose I am too used to zhinking zhat I am on a battlefield. Old habits die hard." He lowers his voice slightly. "Even if zeh origin of zhose habits have tried to kill you..." Not fond of the memories of home being brought up, he snorts and quickens his pace, the ground making a barely audible rumbling.

[XT Vengeance]

"I bet. From what I have heard deserts were always bad. But at least raiders don't hole up in every nook and cranny like Manehattan."

Eve watches as the pony walks away. She lands on the ground and winces slightly, forgetting about her previous injury.

[Tytan]

Clock notices the masked ponies limp. "Do you need something for that spooky face?"

[Orm]

"Yeah.
Raiders were never much of a problem for me here.
Though I've tried my best to avoid them when I can."
