I've got painkiller tending to him, and if the griffon squawked then it was not a head shot. also, another pony helping tend him would be helpful

since we don't have amount, position, etc of attackers, it's just plot-fight, where we just post our actions, right?

You can shoot back and you can kill some of them if you roll high enough.

Reminder: Combat rolls come in 2 stages. First you roll a d20 to see if you hit. 1-7 you miss. 8-15 you hit. 16-20 is a critical.
Second is the damage roll which is a d10. For these enemies don't worry about it, 1 hit will kill them.

In the midst of the fighting, Blackwing screams at the skinny ghoul who has taken up staring at him, ordering the once-pony to get on the wall and help. The ghoul blankly stares at him, holding the pistol steady and acting deaf.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" the griffin finally shouts, grabbing the rotting pony in his talons.

Calmly, the ghoul's lips curl into a smirk, and the pistol fires a bullet between the Captain's eyes, dropping him to the dirt beside the firepit.
