Shayle sat in silence for a couple seconds, trying to think of something, anything, that she could say to him that wouldn't make this even worse. The truth was that she didn't know anything he could do to make her instantly love him, especially since he'd already done so much for her and it still wasn't enough.
He had given her his heart, defended her even if she didn't ask him to, but above all he had given her the happiness she had hoped to find, even after everything that had happened to her. In the end, there was really only one thing she could say, even if it made her sound desperate and hopeless.
"Don't leave," she begged softly, barely holding back her sobs.

Shayle grinned and leaned forward cautiously, not sure if Buckler was okay with her getting close to him again. After a few seconds of awkward leaning, the mare nuzzled her head into his neck, hoping he wouldn't push her away.

She scooted forward into the hug, happily wrapping her hooves around him as she continued to nuzzle his neck. After a few seconds, she pulled back slightly and looked up at him with glistening eyes before kissing him quickly on the chin.

Shayle leaned into the kiss and held it as long as Buckler allowed her to, but worry that she could still lose him at any moment still crawled through her mind. She knew that she needed to find some way to prove that she cared about him, and that she wanted it to work out.
She pulled out of the kiss and grinned sheepishly, looking around momentarily to make sure nobody was watching. "Um...Buckler...do you want to go somewhere more...private?" she asked in a rather sultry whisper.
