I'm probably only gonna have a few reservations concerning anatomy.

Basically I have found quite the lack of views on my artwork and I do very much appreciate reviews on them. So I am stretching out and coming back here since I made an account here, but haven't really posted much. Anyway, the artwork.

Doctor/Derpy Sad:

First, Derpy's rear-legs. When pony sits it's similar to human doing knee-bend, so that spiky (wikey) thing, equivalent of our heel, should be under her butt.
Second is more of a personal artstyle preference and goes to the head shapes. To me it looks almost like you couldn't decide whether to draw them more horse-like or MLP-like and ended up with something between which isn't exactly to my liking. Like I said, more of a personal preference than anything else.

Octavia:

Here only the seemingly broken rear-leg behind her, I don't think she would be able to bend it like this + it's visibly shorter than the other rear-leg.

Human Curvy Derpy:

Anatomically it seems to be alright, proportions are slightly off, especially the legs seem too big, could be perspective though.

Derpy/Doctor Muffin Madness:

Two things again. Derpy's left eye (right from our viewpoint) gets out of her head, from this angle it should be slightly less visible, patially hidden.
Then her mouth. Like this it looks like part of her left cheek has been cut out. The line should connect much closer to the end of the muzzle from this angle.

Those are all of my practice sketches. I don't know pony anatomy and don't really care enough to learn it. It is a process that may or may not look strange and not of the exact style of MLP:FiM. Though of the area's that you pointed out, yes those are all of the areas where I had no idea how to execute it so I bent it with an idea in mind but not the skill to execute.

All of the women I draw have meaty thick and disproportionate hips and thighs... Personal preference.

Well, learning Pony anatomy isn't really that hard considering how simplified it already is, even though using horse skeleton as a reference sometimes isn't bad either... Cupcakes?

I saw the other women on your DA acc so I suspected as much, I liked some, this Derpy is out of my comfort zone, so to speak. Personal preference, personal preferences everywhere...

And I just wanted to point out things that I felt were "wrong", especially the basic anatomy since I'm the sort of anatomy maniac... Well withing boundaries of the show at least so forelegs are out of the question, since they can basically bend anywhere they want. The other pictures were fine.

Thank you regardless. I am trying to get better and anything that is wrong will eventually buff out. It has been some time since I've done any serious drawing, so they are a bit stale.

They will improve as they go along as you can see by the progression of the drawings.

(Also if I were to join here... where would be a good place to actually start getting involved at?)

I love the art I'v seen some mistakes regarding the posture, legs (or some may call it hooves) and how ponies are mainly curved most time no "points"
or as ya may call it edges sometimes the snout/muzzles has points regarding a stallion or a nice "7" snout aside from that the sketch of Spyyr the new one I really think ya did a great job on and I see a big change in old to new which is very good considering I am terrible in pony art sadly which I learned to scan a traditional image then do it digitally.

To those that do have traditional scanned pictures and would like it to be redone into digital, colored, and possibly reworked, I am happy to do such to any drawings that you may wish. I will even add in custom backgrounds. I'm capable of fixing issues that I see though I am not perfect because I don't study MLP Anatomy as much as Formis, but I can still get things to look more right than they are if you are completely stumped. I am always happy to help with digital mock ups. I desire no credit to be given to me if I do buff up your work, though I will include it on this topic under Other's OC's Reworked as an advertising for any others who would want it to be converted into digital (Coloring book style drawings you could say). If anyone is interested. That offer stands.

Depends. I'm not active in any particular thread either, just when I see something interesting.
You could always try RP chatbox if you're in mood for some of that, for casual conversation about Ponies and more I'd say Skype group or Chatbox.

What exactly is Comet anyway?

I was unaware this was viewed much. I mostly have a mediocre self-esteem so I assume I am mostly ignored. Doesn't overly bother me, I just keep on trucking and come off as insane. Anywhoozles, what is Comet.

She is an outsider who is suffering from amnesia in Equestria. She woke up in the Everfree in a hole in the ground and a few broken rocks along what she assumed to be her "entrance". Her headache and fuzzy memories pretty much told her that it was her head that had broken all the rocks. She considered herself lucky. Equally, it is nice to know that when she woke up she was on her back. The first thing she saw were clouds, namely a cloud that looked like an animal and thought it was something trying to help her up. She grew fascinated with them and now found a use for her strange anatomy to construct her own clouds. Eventually, she stumbles upon Canterlot and Ponyville. She notices how different they are to her and feels intimidated by them. She would love to talk to them, but she has an overwhelming fear or guilt or something that she can't quite place her hoof on, so she hides in the clouds. She also starts creating her own cloud animals and watches the ponies look at them with smiles. It cheers her up.

What she is will be told along the progression of her story in picture form. I also still need to reveal something about her. Mostly what is up with her right eye. I've been treating her almost like an Ask Tumblr story thingie. If anyone would want to ask her a question, just post it in the thread and I will eventually get around to drawing the response, unless I just answer it like above. Sort of a mixed execution until I catch up with the questions that other people have already asked me along with the story progression.

Wait so Comet is a mare?

Yes, Comet is a mare. An "alien" mare. She technically was normal at one point and then was "modified" when she was "saved" by "someone" or "something". She now has no memories of her past, woke up in the Everfree, loves clouds, knows her name is Comet, and questions why she looks so much different from the other ponies. (Also there is something with her right eye, which I have never revealed as of yet.)

Heh, reminds me of the question, how long Pony artists (or any fanart artist for that matter) last until they draw/start drawing porn (and similar things).

Anyway, it's not that explicit really, I mean, you can clearly see what's going on but can't actually see anything "too compromising".
As for the general look, I'd say it's a huge improvement over your previous pony pictures, the anatomy is a lot more consistent (aside from that leg you mentioned, that does look a bit strange). Keep up the good work.

Thanks. I will probably keep looking at that leg and try to get it fixed somehow.

As for explicitness, I don't overly enjoy such pictures too much. At times I feel it to be degrading to the mare in the shot and a bit too 'giving' to the stallion of the shot. I wanted not to capture the sex per se, but the love that can be associated with sex. The look of the Doctor, Derpy pulling him in by his tie, it is far more loving than "She loves the D!" Just my dreams of it how I had wished to approach it.

I've already fallen off that road though I like mixing the more pornographic artwork with cute artwork. It is pretty balanced.
