Neon shakes his head, "No, ah, it's not that." He fiddles a bit, obviously trying to come up with the right words. He looks anxious, regretful, and sad all in one go.

"It's not that... I mean that was... but it..." He takes a deep breath. "IreallyenjoyedthatandIlikeyoualotbutI'mnotreadyforarelationship."

*both groan as they follow Azure out the door*

Terra, you're looking as beautiful as ever. I have something to discuss with the two of you, and I was hoping we could be civil about it.

She steps back and gestures for him to come in.

Whisper moves aside
"Of course we can, come on in."

"Oh...well..." Felix started to say, his smile fading and head drooping slightly. "I...then why did we..." The zebra didn't really know what to say. He had always just assumed that when two ponies, or zebras, or whoever, kissed like that it meant they were in a relationship, or at least something like it. His head started to hurt as he tried to think through it all, wondering why Neon had suddenly seemed to change his mind.

*Willow walks in and takes a seat in their living room*

Now, it's been brought to my attention by an older deer couple that their son has been in a loving relationship with a particular gryphon for quite some time and has, for the past three years, been wanting to marry her. However, it seems the gryphon's parents don't particularly like the couple's son and their daughter won't accept the son's proposal until she gets her parent's approval.

Now, guess what the old couple came and asked me to do.

Neon felt his heart break as he looked at the younger Zebra. "Listen... you're still in school, haven't y-you heard how some ponies thing about co-, about ponies-who-do-what we-just-did?" He places a hoof on Felix's shoulder, "I... we were both intoxicated, and neither of us r-really know what was going through the eachothers heads but..." He looks down at the Zebra, sighing, "I'm really sorry..." He slumps, "I'm a horrible friend..."

Terra raises an eyebrow, "Bitch about it like we'd give a shit?"

Whisper smirks
"Look, Willow, yer a nice guy, really ya are. and I like ya an all. But that ain't happenin'. I already said I didn't care if she got married, but that doesn't mean I gotta like'im. Which I don't, and that ain't changin'."

Uh-huh, yea, and why exactly do you not like the boy? For Gaia's sake, he and Iffin have known each other for longer than this town has been around.

"He's a punk-ass delinquent, and a smartass."

A strange feeling gripped Felix's chest as he tried to make sense of everything. Sure, he'd heard a few others talking about two colts being together, generally not very nice things, and things that generally confused him. And maybe they had both been drunk at the time, more Felix than Neon probably...but it had just felt good for the zebra. He liked it, and didn't see anything wrong with it.

"I-I..." Felix stammered, trying to say the right thing without hurting Neon's feelings further. "No, you're right..." he finally said, as much as he didn't want to, his head dropped to the dirt and his eyes burning.

"He caused my daughter ta lie ta me, sneak around behind our backs, then decide ta use my clinic for their fun. Sorry, but I don't see much ta like."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Hey." Neon lifts Felix's head up with his hoof, and gives him a light peck on the cheek, "We're still friends. And I've found that over time, anything can change." He looks at his cutie mark, a clock-face. "I'm not ready for this right now, and I honestly don't think you are either. So, we stay friends, and maybe one day, things will change. How does that sound?"

For a few moments, Felix just stared at Neon, searching for what to say. He was right after all; that had been Felix's first kiss, maybe it had been too early, and maybe they needed to wait before they went passed being friends. The zebra didn't know himself, having never even been close to a relationship with anyone, and had to take the pegasus' word for it, hoping that he was right.
He nodded to Neon slowly, forcing a small smile.

[Scyto Harmony]

"Good." Neon gets up, "You should get going, your sister is probably looking for you. And don't forget - my place, Saturday."

Okay, Whisper, one, he didn't force her to lie to you, she made that decision on her own and probably would have done it with any other buck. Two, the sneaking around behind your backs was her idea, not his. And three, you can't put sole blame on his shoulders for either of these activities.
From what I've heard, they sneaked around because they were afraid of how you'd react, and frankly, I think they were somewhat justified considering what happened in the week following the revelation and every other subsequent interaction you've had with the boy.

As for your concerns, Terra, he's far from a delinquent. He has a straight job, he's well respected in all the communities he's known to, including this one, and he loves Iffin to the point where he's willing to put up with all the crap you throw his way, so why don't you tell me the real reason you don't want Iffin to marry him.

((For Felix, it was fine, because now he still has his friend, and hopes of a future relationship possibly happening.))

"Because... Because she's my daughter, and I hate to see her ruin her life with... with..." She stands up, "Some tribal brain-dead hippie deer!" She storms out of the room.

(( I can't keep my eyes open, going to go pass out now. ))

Dangit Terra, it was one prank 18 years ago, can't you just let it go?

*Looks to Whisper*
And what about you Whisper? Asides from a few few misunderstanding, you really don't have a good reason to dislike the boy.

"And now ya went and pissed her off, wonderful."
Looks at Willow
"I don't like him, and I'm not goin' ta. The fact that he sold Iffin out the first chance he got about the clinic. Doesn't sit right with me. The reason he thought it was okay ta barge inta my house, after both my wife and I told him to several times ta leave, I mean do ya know how lucky he is that I didn't kill'im fer breakin' in? It's not goin' ta happen, I don't care if she gets married. She can do whatever she wants ta, but I don't like him simple as that."

Fine, you don't like him, there's a lot of in-laws out there who don't like who their kid married, but could you at least stop torturing the boy every time he walks by? Honestly, if he wasn't such a nice kid, he could have Mav haul you both in for assaulting and threatening to kill him.

"I wouldn't call a paralysis spell here and there, torture, and it wears off in a couple minutes anyways with no harm done. But, yeah I can possibly get Terra ta stop threatin' him, maybe, I'll figure somethin' out."

It may not be torture, but it's still assault, so if you could stop that and convince Terra to take it down a notch, it'd be a good start.

*Gets up to leave*
Well, I think I've done about all I can do. Please, Whisper, if you truly want what's is best for her, don't just tell her she can do what she wants. Give her your blessing.
