And Shayle's yell, Neon jumps away from Felix, with an "Ohshit" as he sees her. He can't disguise the warm red blush that is dousing his entire face, and the feeling of regret that the kiss broke so soon.

Hearing Shayle's shout nearly gave Felix a heart attack as Neon jumped away, leaving the colt with a blush and flattened ears as his gaze shot to his sister.


Stopping only a few feet from the two colts, Shayle glared down at her brother more angrily than she'd ever done before. "What do you think you're doing? Aren't you supposed to be in class or something!" she shouted, occasionally shooting a brief stare at Neon.

[PERCEPTION] Before her brother could answer, Shayle caught a familiar scent on him, one which threw any remaining restraints on her temper straight out her ears. "And why do you smell like alcohol?!"


The tone in his sister's voice sent Felix to his haunches, staring up at her fearfully and stammering to try and answer her questions. "I-I-I...w-we..."

Neon steps between them. "I-It's my fault, Shayle. I-I pressured him into drinking it."

(( I love how it JUST occured to me why shayle wouldn't want Felix to drink. ))

The focus of Shayle's ire instantly shifted, her glare piercing into Neon's eyes. "Go home. Now!" she screamed into his face, baring her teeth as she continued to stare the pegasus down. She would be lying if she told someone she hadn't considered pulling out her revolver at that point, but common sense won out as she realized she didn't want to fill out a report on the situation.


((Oh yes, Felix has no idea what he just dove into with her XD))

*After finishing lunch, Kura just snuggled with Red for a little while*
Hey Red, you want to do something now?

Neon immediately backs up, looking between the two of them. 'Sorry' he mouths to Felix, before turning tail and flying away.

(( She's saying og home to Neon, right? ))

Maybe, do you have anything in mind? *hears yelling outside.* What's that?

((Yup, she's not done with Felix yet.))

[Aonee]

I dunno, but I'll go check it out. *Walks over to the front door*

Turning her glare back to Felix, who was still laying flat and staring up at her, Shayle groaned before speaking to him again. "Explain."


"W-well, I was out, and the others asked me to go to the bar...and, I had a few shots there..." the colt started explaining what had happened, hoping that Shayle would allow him to finish before screaming again.

"And then Neon left, so I tried to find them again, and he was here...and we...um..." at that point Felix no longer felt the need to explain what happened, or even knew how to explain it. It had just happened, it wasn't like the two colts had planned it out!

"B-but I don't see why you're so mad...it was just some drinking...and kissing..." the colt tried to redeem himself, hoping Shayle had just overreacted and would calm down if he used simple logic.


"Just drinking and kissing?" she hissed, growing more agitated after his excuse. "You. Are. Too. Young." Shayle spat, tapping her brother's nose with a hoof on each word. "You shouldn't even be thinking about that crap yet Felix! You're practically a schoolcolt still!" She didn't sound as angry anymore, more of concerned, but still angry, and still very loud.

[Aonee]

*Pokes her head out the door* Hey Shayle? Can you keep it down? And he had a perfectly good reason to be drinking, War died.

*After practically half a day of gathering supplies, Iffin felt ready to present the girls with a housewarming gift, completely unaware of what happened* Okay Runner, you think it's ready?

((Yes it was. Problem with it? It looked like Shayle was being loud enough to wake the dead. ))

Azure wakes up with a head ache and sick feeling in her stomach
"Ugh, why do I..."
she starts to piece together what happened
"I...Isaac? Please tell me what I think happened, didn't happen."

"Depends," Isaac say, distracted as he sits next to her on a rooftop, watching the scene infront of Red and Kura's house, "What do you think happened?"

Azure looks down
"I...I got drunk and made fool of myself didn't I?"

Hearing Sakura speaking from the doorway, Shayle turned to her, ready to throw more of her anger at the newcomer. That is until she heard the final part of what the pegasus told her.

War died.

The zebra fell silent, her eyes wide and shaking. War...had died? Shayle's anger collapsed, along with her argument for being angry with Felix. She turned away slowly, looking over to her still cowering brother for a moment before trotting back toward her tower, reminded that she still had duty for a while longer.

While she walked, she didn't even think of turning to see what Felix was doing now. She didn't care to know. His teacher had died, a part of New Hope had died, and everyone was just trying to cope. And she had gone and started a scene over what her brother was doing; her brother who was growing up, not a foal anymore, but a zebra who needed to start learning things for himself instead of being watched every second by big sister.

Reaching her tower, Shayle fall to her haunches and stared into the Wasteland once again, paying just enough attention to see any threats to the town.

[Aonee]

Okay. *Packs up the gift, and starts waking off to Red and Kura's house, making sure to avoid her parents' house*
Hey, Felix, you okay?

[CamoBadger]

His sister had just walked away without a word. She didn't tell him they'd talk about it later, she didn't say anything else after hearing the news. Felix wasn't sure if that should make him feel glad or worried, but at the moment it was bordering more on glad that he wasn't getting yelled at anymore.

Standing up, the zebra turned to Sakura, smiling weakly and nodding. "Yeah, thanks Sakura."

[Scyto Harmony]

Neon flies down, having been watching from a distance, "You okay, Felix? I'm really sorry, it's all my fault..."

He nods, "Yup. Although the 'making a fool of yourself' part would have been worse if I hadn't stepped in."

[Aonee]

*Nods* No problem. *Goes back inside and lays back down next to Red*
Shayle didn't know about your mom, so she was yelling at Felix because he went drinking with us.
