Nova Blinks, "Oh that's right, thanks..." He stares at her for a few moments, "...you. Do you mind showing Shayle the way after she's done here? It's the old ambassadors mansion or whatever it was called."

Sure. And my name's Sakura.
*Watches Nova leave, then waits a few moments* Hey Shayle, my mom's probably ready for you, whenever you're ready.

"Nova, I was pregnant for half the time we knew eachother."

"Oh, really? I thought you were just fat." ))

(("Wow, I didn't know you could survive getting brain damage a THIRD time!"

((I have no idea, and probably. I still don't know how we're actually going to get sent off on our quest, though.))

Turning away from the cyberdog, Shayle nodded to Sakura and stood back up, slowly making her way to where her mother had gone. Before leaving the room, she turned to the pegasus and muttered a soft "Thank you," then went to talk with Crys.

Once Shayle, goes into the back room. Roxie gets up and sits next to the door.

*The room Crys is in doesn't look like it belongs in a clinic at all. There's a few chairs, along with a comfy couch, surrounding a coffe table, with a counter with a teakettle on it towards the back of the room*
Hi Shayle.

The strange decor in the room definitely caught Shayle off guard, as it seemed like more of a home. She looked around briefly, starting to wonder how long it must have taken the mare to find all of the furniture.

"Hi," she said plainly after turning back to Crys, not sure how this kind of thing was supposed to happen or what she was supposed to say.

[Aonee]

*Pats the couch* Here, have a seat.
So, you've had to go through some rough things, huh?

[CamoBadger]

As she was told, the zebra quietly made her way to the couch, taking a seat and looking over to the other mare. Normally, her question would have brought out another lie from Shayle, but she remembered that Sakura said her mother could only help if Shayle allowed her to.

"I guess," she said softly, worried that others may be eavesdropping on the two of them.

[Aonee]

*Sits down next to Shayle* Don't worry, this room's completely soundproof. Whatever's said stays between us.

When the pony sat beside her, Shayle quickly shimmied herself further away, still looking at Crys as she moved. She started to think that the pony did this rather often since she seemed to know what the zebra's initial worry was without even asking, and that did some to calm Shayle down.

You think you could talk about it? Trust me, you'd be surprised how much better you'll feel if you do.

Shayle looked down for a moment, trying to think of what she should say. She thought back through everything in her life that the pony might need to know, and all of it came back around to one place, or more specifically one zebra.

"It was my father..." she said, looking back up to Crys with sorrow in her eyes. "He did bad things..."

[Aonee]

*Gets a caring, yet worried look on her face, and places a comforting hoof on Shayle's shoulder* You think you could talk about what he did?

Yeah, I'm Mrs.War *She floated up a piece of paper with names listed on it and quickly scribbled Felix's at the end. She levitated the paper back down to the table and looked back at Felix.* I don't remember seeing you in town, are you new?

[CamoBadger]

"Yes, we just got here this morning with Nova," Felix replied happily, gaining yet another smile.

[CamoBadger]

((I don't know why I split these up...))

"I don't know..." Shayle started out, not nervous about speaking with the mare, but more of worried that she wouldn't react well to revisiting her father's actions. But with that doubt came Sakura's words yet again about how her mother needed Shayle to cooperate.

"He drank a lot of whiskey, so he got mad most days...he would yell at me, but never hit me when I was young..." she started to shake as she prepared to say what happened later on, the memories haunting her and beginning to fill her with anger.

"When I got older...he started to...do things to me...in my room..." tears began to form in her eyes as the memory caused her body to grow sore.

*She got an angry look at the mention of Nova's name but quickly replaced it with a kind smile* We? am I going to have another student?

((Sorry if that doesn't make sense but 15 years of raising a child by yourself is a long time to learn how to not like somebody.))

[Aonee]

*Pulls Shayle into a hug* That's horrible... No one should have to go through that.

[CamoBadger]

"Yeah, my sister is here too," he said with a smile, but quickly switched to a questioning look. "But she never went to school before, so I don't know if she'll be going here."



The sudden hug sent a blast of heat through Shayle's body, and her nerves frayed once again. Her eyes clamped shut, and the zebra tried to pull her legs in close, but was impeded by the hug. She tried to wiggle out of the hug, becoming distressed more and more as the hug continued. Slowly, tears began to fall down her face and her wiggling stopped as she caved in, falling limp and no longer fighting to escape.

[Aonee]

*Frowns when Shayle actually goes limp* You want me to let go?

[CamoBadger]

Tears still rolling down her face, Shayle nodded slowly at Crys' request, relieved that the offer had been made.
