Just a quick thought on the "Who can see Cherry" thing. Since Willow has a connection with the spirits, I would think he would at least sense her presence. Unless she's just in Guard's head, in which case, Guard need's some serious help.))

After sitting outside for about half an hour Guard gets up, and goes back into the suite.
"Let's just hope that t'day goes better."
He sighs as walks around the suite and ends up in kitchen.
"Why don't I give cookin' shoot. It can't be that hard can it?"
Guard begins to cook.

He also goes to the kitchen, and sits silently watching Guard attempt to cook.
