Well I'll have this officially released tomorrow, I reckon. As soon as it is I'm planning on the rewrite of chapter 1, and then 2, 3 and so on.

Also, fixed the spelling error you pointed out & added some commas to the first few paragraphs, too tired to continue & I have work tomorrow anyway, so should really be asleep anyway.

Final version of the reworked prologue is now officially live. Has some minor changes to it. Not essential reading for anyone whose already read any version of it, but it's a nice touch all the same.

So, a small update.
I've made some decent progress on the rewriting of chapter one today.
It's all being organically rewritten which in real talk means that I'm literally rewriting every single word apart from the header/title.

There's been some small, subtle changes and some larger changes though generally it's still following the same storyline as it was before with all the key elements remaining intact in some form.

It's proving a lot more of a challenge to rewrite a chapter than it is to simply write it in the first place because you've got a lot more limitations on what you can write. I have to remember to keep everything in line with what comes ahead while also wanting to write with more detail and change some things.

This DOES mean that some things won't add up between chapter 1 & 2 though the inconsistency isn't going to be gaping. I'll just have to make an authors note at the end of the revised chapter 1 explaining those issues.



I'm really looking forward to seeing what people think of it all and right now I've got someone pre-reading what I've done so far and they've pointed out three small suggestions but so far they seem to think it's good.

So... yeah! Looking forward to having the chapter finished and released.

At this point, there's nothing hard but waiting for someone willing to go through the chapter and quickly assess some small things I've noted out via the comment system.

Just the odd word here & there that I've questioned whether I should make a change or stick with a change I've made and noted down what I previously had.
I know there's one person whose willing to help me out, but he's not around right now and if he hadn't been ill yesterday, he would have been happy to help me then.

Whoa, dude, how long has it been since my last proper update on the story? Oh yeah, near a month ago.
-sigh- I hate how lazy I can be at times, yet I still do nothing about it.

Well, good news is I got some planning done while at work today. Haven't written anything all that interesting down yet though, so I don't know what to think. I don't want to release a boring filler chapter, nor do I want to make everyone wait too much more than a month.
Either way, I'll work something out.

Maybe I'll make it a longer chapter (if need be) to make room for some excitement or something.
