In other news, I got a Midnight Purple 3DS in preparation for the next Smash Bros game. 'Commissioned' my sister (would've given her $ anyways; just needed a legit reason to do so) for a painting of Alouette. Any recommendations for a Cover(?)/Case(?) to get that would be easy to paint on?

In LoL news there's thread that just showed up recently on discussing possible Sona changes. As is she's kinda not a 'fun' character, with her ult being her highlight. URF made her hilarious when you really do just faceroll qweqweqweqweqweqweqwe, but in normals she's a meh character, with a lot of other supports outclassing her. Any ideas League players?

I still have a few weeks of training to wrap up, but, having been here half a year, that's like saying I have to wait until tomorrow. 

French military lets people enlist as NCOs? The only way for Army guys to become NCOs without climbing the junior enlisted ranks and going before promotion boards is 18X, which makes you an E-5 (Sergeant) as soon as you finish your two years of SF training.

Well, I'm not clear on how it is for the ground forces, but for the air force we actually start at the lowest rank (equivalent to Private second-class), but once Basic is over we quickly gain ranks (I'm currently corporal, will be corporal-chief in about a month/month-and a half, and we end up sergeant something like 8 or 10 month after the end of Basic, IIRC). We skip the equivalent of Private First Class, it's reserved to actual Privates and would-be NCOs who did their high-school years and their equivalent of basic in a military school (this for the Air Force, at least).

It seems like they (the would-be NCOs of the French ground forces) become Sergeant 8 month after enlisting. So I suppose they follow the same curve as the Air Force.

Yeah, it just seems really odd to me that you guys can enlist as NCOs (or rather, enlist with the definite short-term goal of being an NCO) In the Army, your sort of profession would likely end as Specialist, and wouldn't achieve NCO rank until they were actually at the point of being put in a leadership role.

I suppose. I guess it comes down to the US Army having a much larger recruitment pool, giving it the "leisure" of letting things develop naturally as people display their leadership qualities; while with only 110,000 personnel in the ground forces, we have to take a more proactive stance when it comes to managing human resources, lest we'd run the risk of lacking personnel in critical posts because no suitable candidate made it thus far through the internal recruitment channels.

Though I guess the most likely explanation is that someone with the level to be recruited directly as an NCO doesn't want to spend too much time as an Enlisted, and we have enough difficulties as it is recruiting enough people to fill the ranks each year (it's not volunteers we lack, but their quality is... uneven, shall we say).

I really don't know why people like it. It was always one of those little things that always annoyed the crap out of me when I tried to watch anime. "Here is a completely vapid character who only exists for fan service! She'll stand around and maybe we'll have an egregious bathtub scene to show off the unnatural curves of the body even though her back should have snapped in half 5 years ago!" It just looks so wrong that it pulls me out of the experience and I can't focus on things like the plot or characterization because it bugs me so damn much. I've always been of the persuasion that more than a handful is a waste anyways.

I agree, most fanservice in any show to me is a little insulting. To me it's like the creators are saying 'There's no other reason to watch our show except for the skimpily dressed sexy wo/men.' If I wanted wank material, I'd go watch porn.

Maybe they're personally attracted to it? Or in the case that they're not they're being paid to draw it? Money is a pretty big motivator. Especially when you want to be paid for the thing you're talented at and have passion for.

I'm sure you can get those artist to draw a woman with smaller breasts if you throw them some money.

Oh, don't worry Last, you know I wasn't caring about the artist there, and I am not intending for them to care about me. My question was, and still is, about the fetish behind the drawing.

Of course people are free to draw what they want. I just want to understand why seemingly half or more of the anthro, humanized, or straight-up human(oid) pics featuring female characters out there feature breasts individually at least one an half time larger than the head of the character.

Cuz people are weird and not all think in same patterns. Remember, if something exist - someone likes it. And it doesn't matter if it's anime girls with breasts bigger, than rest of her body or something, that most people would throw up or feel sick (2g1c, if you know what I mean).
