Is wholly possible that the breezies weren't around back then, or that needing the breeze, or at least the pegasi to make the breeze, is a new development. It certainly seemed like this was the first time anything of the sort happened.

It's certainly a case of the writers coming up with an idea without thinking of how it affects what came before. But unless I'm misremembering, the Breezies trip doesn't seem to be annual. Or at least it doesn't follow the same path all the time.

It's possible that the Breezies came about some time after the events that started Heartswarming Eve, but if you go with they've always been around, the everlasting winter kept them from leaving their hidden, secret home and/or they entered a hibernation state until the seemingly never ending winter was over.

So you're suggesting that they came about sometime durring 'Tia's millenia of peace? Well, that's plausible. Maybe they did exist in Equestria first, then fled via portal (Doctor created XD) to their current realm, where they came out during said millenia.

Yeah, that's what made me suspicious too, any company that actually created hover tech (and wasn't covered up by the government/classified by the military) would be trumpeting how their hover tech works.
