We don't want their hair all over everything, and their hair bothers our skin pretty bad, so we keep them outside. During the winter, we let them come inside for a little bit to warm up, then later run them back out.

I mean, sure, we'd run out of fissionables eventually too, but, even if we never bother to get thorium reactors working and/or use fissionables mined off Earth, it'll take a lot longer.

Not sure, but since last time I checked we haven't hit Peak yet, we've still got some time before it gets ridiculously expensive. Besides, we'll have hoverboards soon, then I won't need that stupid gas all those other cavemen use.

Considering it's efficiency is maybe a few percent at most in its current state, if the shit advances as much as computers have it'd actually be viable. In the South. In the north unless someone wants to grab a giant rake or something they'd be covered in snow a third of the year.
