Saipan was told that americans were going to torture everyone on the island so they threw themselves off cliffs to avoid it.

Before them getting bomb they tried to surrender so long as the usa didn't touch the emperor, due to the shinto believe that the emperor was divinely chosen, so the usa went, "fuck that shit" and tossed it in the garbage. . . Kind of ironic given how life went on for Hirohito. Ps. the reason why this ties into shintoism is that it was believed that the emperors were descendants of Amaterasu.

I just got my drill pay so I'm installing it right now :D My buddy who already has it is playing and says its buggy as hell, but that's to be expected I guess.  I love dayz and I put way too much time into this last summer, I really hope it holds up to my expectations.  Anyways, who wants to be dayz buddies?
