I don't really think creating a seperate thread for bait would Improve this one. Bait doesn't look like it's clogging up anything. Generally it's just "Look at this neat thing I found" "Hey that is neat" than back to random discussion.
*shrug* Anyway my point is I don't think it adds anything of value.

What about just having a unspoken rule of, "don't just post bait all the time". Like posting it is fine, just don't only ever post bait.

Aren't there already three different threads for pictures? If people are putting pictures here, there's probably a reason. One vote against bait thread.

Not to mention that the only reason it is Xbait is because someone is deliberately posting it on account of X's stated preferences. A thread devoted entirely to the bait without any of the fish seems pointless.

My college has got the moronic idea in its head that it should change its internet around again, despite finally having perfected it (by accident, one supposes). Now, the internet sucks after 6PM. :| Fucking utter incompetent jackasses...

The worst part is that it's not even just the wireless. The internet's slow and dies during the day in some spots of campus (classrooms), but even being plugged in still nets you enough latency to make games unplayable and video streams kind of a crapshoot. This during the peak internet usage hours. Between this, constant "upgrades" of projectors that end up breaking the sound, their insistence on some new bloody online system for clubs that nobody wants but we're all forced to use because some moron spent money on it, the wireless connected TVs that were dumb even when they worked (and now don't work at all because they changed the internet), and the fiasco that was sending out bills really late last year... maybe things were working really poorly behind the scenes or something, necessitating changes, but now they're just not working at all anywhere. It's really pathetic.

So I listened to this earlier, but according to Moodyman it hasn't been talked about here so I'm posting the link. It's waaaay to late right now for me to actually say anything about the interview itself other than that it's totally worth listning to if you're intrested and stuff.

Okay, NOW I'm officially back.

I've been playing the hell out of minecraft trying to rebuild my accidentally deleted world and now that I have done everything I'm kind of bored again.  The only thing I haven't done is computercraft, and that's cause I already have everything.  Playing that much minecraft for a entire week made me realize something.  For all the good mods out there a lot of them have some basic problems they all share.  One of the basic problems with minecraft mods is the pipes.  Get too many bees in a pipe and it's game over from lag.  The second problem with them is the redstone wiring.  If your machine is too complex it's game over from lag.  Another problem is what materials are used.  A lot of mods spawn new blocks, but that's a problem if someone wants to add a mod to a server.  They have to go all the way to a new biome to find the new blocks.

If a group of people were to get together and make something like all the current mods, but put it all together in one pack using vanilla blocks as the basic recipe foundations and have items go through pipes instantly to it's destination then the two major problems with mods are fixed.

That way people can add as many mods as they want even on older computers without having to worry about getting lagged to death and continue from their old saves.

Also LUA for computercraft is okay, but more people are familiar with DOS.

I'm not familiar with Ebay, the age thing at the bottom means who the toy is apropriate for? I get the feeling the person who made that plush didn't read the story.

Though I highly doubt anyone would put out that kind of money for a character they're unfamiliar (It is just a stuffed animal afterall) with. So i guess it really doesn't matter.

Druids OP. Apparently, you can find deposits of minerals underground by looking at the leaves of the plants (preferably ones with extensive root structures, I imagine) growing above them. That's pretty friggin' cool.

Though I do think people who haven't read PH would buy it. I've said it before BJ's design is pretty generic. Black, Red and white are popular colors Unicorn is a popular race. So I can see someone buying it as an OC substitute. Though then again if you're willing to spend that kind of money for a plushie of your OC you could probably just commision the... Artist? Is there a specific term for someone who sews?
