Little-known fact: Mangos are the larval form of Pineapples. They begin their life cycle on those little helicopter seeds, like maple (I think) except these are venomous, to ward off predators. They use their claws to latch onto unsuspecting tropical trees, whilst the trees are unaware, and feed on them like ticks. They grow so engorged with sap that the seed pod swells into a fruit-like structure. Unbeknownst to most people, Mangos are actually extremely bouncy, because it is at this point that they detach from the tree and begin bouncing along the ground. The eventually find their way to the coast, where they latch onto the rare Tropical Pine and begin burrowing into its bark. This gives them their hard, spiky exterior. They then enter a hunting-spider like stage of life where they hang above unsuspecting animals and tourists and drop down, attempting to brain their prey with their viciously jagged exterior. Hundreds are killed every year by predatory pineapples.

@Robo; There's a chance they've never had a ripe mango. Since Mango's have such a short window of ripeness, and both under rip and too ripe Mango's just aren't even close to the true Mango deliciousness.
