Not totalitarian. She can't do her patented hands-off governance approach if she's totalitarian. If her will isn't imposed into every aspect of life, public and private, the term does not apply. (Also it historically also means "enemy of the United States" because when we have totalitarian allies, they're called "absolutist" or something like that, as I recall)

I still say it's basically a culture-governed anarchic society, with the Princesses as de facto rulers because they're immortal and whatnot.

Personally the pictures of hitler celestia put me out of mein kampfort zone.


Actually a serious answer to that would be WWII ended 68 years ago. The VA estimates that there's a million WWII veterans still alive, but they're dying about a rate of 700 a day due to old age or such. What that means is even as little as four years from now almost all of WWII veterans will have died of old age. It's kind of hard for a society to keep something in the public's eye when the majority of the people who were effected by it are dying of old age.

The sad thing about this is that all those history channel stories by veterans living through it and telling what happened in a couple years are going to be gone, all the moral lessons that we as a society from WWII will be washed away by time and it's just going to be another chapter in history getting washed away with time.
