Considering it was only $65 and has "Made in Spain" in plain English on the side I have to go with a reproduction. And I'm saying that for my own benefit cause there's no way I bought an original that cheap at this convention.

Also went with the plainest one they had, no fancy designs and the like. Not like they cost more, just liked the look of the one I got more.

Some more stuff from the pony panel that the comic artist said. Paraphrased and through the filter of my memory.

Hasbro and most of the stuff that works on the show and related materail believes that background ponies should remain just that, and it is unlikely that outside of toys and what little they're seen in the show there will be any focus on them. That their lives the fans have created show remain in fandom.

Also legally they're not allowed to use anything created by the fans because there could be issues even though naturally the fans don't own the character.

Not sure if that's ever been said before, I never heard of it myself.

On the topic of ponies in adult situations the reply was "This is a kids show and it should remain as such" and went on how he use to do adult drawings for various companies but stopped as soon as he was picked up for Word Girl and hasn't started back since getting picked up for MLP.

Yes, I had the expected "WTF DO I DO WITH ALL THIS" reaction, even though I'm a Dwarf Fortress player.

Then, a friend has recommended that I start with Europa Universalis, then move to Victoria and then to HoI, as there's an incremental diffuculty curve between them.

I think I own all of them from the summer sale, so... um... maybe.

There's a pony mod for Victoria II, if you're interested.
