Images flashed in Clocks mind, bodies writhing, blood. She considered lying to him, but thought better of it, "...No."

Searchlight picked the bag of chips off the ground, and put it back in his bag before making his way back to the bar. Figuring that he wouldn't be of much help around the the mares and foals, Searchlight decides to stay out of the way and wait by the bar.

[Ironmonger]

Having finished his walk and stretched out what muscles he could, Cast Iron takes his previous spot outside the bar.

[XT Vengeance]

"Neither am I, really. But...I guess I probably slept better than most of you," Charcoal admits.

[Tytan]

Clock waltzes up to Charcoal and nuzzles his neck, "I don't think I'll get a decent nights sleep for a while, but..." She glances back at Novae, "I'm starting to feel better."

[XT Vengeance]

"It could take quite a while, but you can talk to me."

whisper to CLock:

"Doesn't make it any easier, though."

[Tytan]

Clock nuzzled him a little softer, her eyes glazed over, "Thanks Char. You're more than I deserve."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'm pretty sure that its reversed, but your welcome," Charcoal replies quietly.

[Tytan]

Clock thinks for a moment. She looks around the room and sees the hoofless mare. "You'll have to excuse me Char. There's something I gotta do."

[Tytan]

Clock stepped out of the bar and started searching the town for materials. A leather belt here, some tools there, some pipe and springs over there. She spent the better part of an hour putting it together. She came back to the bar to find the mare near the bar. "Good morning... I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."

[CamoBadger]

The mare slowly looked up and weakly introduced herself. "Beach Ball."

[Tytan]

"It's nice to meet you miss Ball. I made you something." She pulled the prosthetic out of her bag. The top was padded so her stump could sit comfortably, and the bottom was a roughly hoof shaped device that could flex similarly to an ankle.

[CamoBadger]

"What's it for?" she asked skeptically.

[Tytan]

Clock puts the hoof part on the ground and demonstrates by moving it back and forth, "So you can walk."

[CamoBadger]

"What if I don't want to anymore?" Beach asked and looked away from the device.

[Tytan]

Clock heart broke a little more when she heard that, "I-I know what you went through was awful, but you can't give up. It's all behind you now, you have your whole life ahead of you now."

[CamoBadger]

"What kind of life will it be? I'm a cripple, I lost my husband and my s-son..." her eyes glazed over and the mare fought to hold back another wave of tears. "J-just leave me be."

[Tytan]

Clock is in total dismay, there's only one thing she can think to say.

Whisper to Beach Ball:

[CamoBadger]

"You did?" the mare asked as she looked back to Clock. "Did... did you l-lose her?" she asked hesitantly.

[Tytan]

whisper to beach ball:

[CamoBadger]

"Oh... I-I'm so sorry," the mare quickly replied, dropping her gaze from Clock.

[Tytan]

"...But I'm still here. I keep going for her. And you should keep going for your husband and son."

[CamoBadger]

"I just want to see them again. To hold my son one last time and tell him I love him..." she stopped and hid her head in her hooves. "To say goodbye," she finished into her own hooves, so quiet it could barely be heard.

[Tytan]

"Life is cruel like that. We don't always get to say goodbye... sometimes we don't get to say hello. All we can do is work to help others and hope our loved ones are watching over us in the everafter and approve of what we do without them."

[CamoBadger]

"But... I don't know how... what can I do?"

[Tytan]

"Whatever you can. Volunteer at the clinic, help orphans... maybe Miss Doo could use some help."

[CamoBadger]

"I... I'll try," Beach replied hesitantly.

[Tytan]

"But first, you'll need to be able to walk." Clock offers her the prosthetic.

[CamoBadger]

She frowned but stuck the crusty stump out to accept the replacement.

[Tytan]

Clock placed the prosthetic on her stump and used the leather belts to hold it in place, "Now, it'll be sore for a while, but it should get better. One problem you may have are neuromas. They're little tumors of nerves, they're very painful, but if you go to a good clinic they should be able to remove them with a simple surgery." Clock gives the belts one last tug and secures it. Clock offers the mare her hoof.
